Learning skills.

What affects skill learning? I have two warriors in ADM. One of them is a two (three?) time TV. The former TV has not learned anything, not even stat increases, in 8 tourneys. Neither can get stat increases or learn skills in regular play. What gives?

Many things impact the ability to learn skills and train stats. Most notably their WT and WL but also their opponents, the amount of skills or trains already learned etc. In Tourney's the rates are decreased by 50%. More info would be required I think to better answer your question when it specifically relates to your warriors.

I can say that 100% of the time I'm rolling below 50% in tourneys to learn skills.

I can say that 100% of the time the warrior is fighting with 50 or more fights than he has and he still can't learn.

I can say that 100% of the time he can't get a stat increase in regular play with a 17 Will.

I can say that 100% of the time the warrior is fighting with 50 or more fights than he has and he still can't learn. I have several warriors in ADM with well over 100FE and less than 100 total skills. Experience does not always mean they will be a good teacher.

I can say that 100% of the time he can't get a stat increase in regular play with a 17 Will. How many trains do you already have? Is this your first train for that stat or the 4th or 5th?

I can hear your frustration and I can say I sometimes share it but there are so many factors that impact your learning its hard to say what specific reason is hindering yours. I would expect a warrior with a 17 WL to be able to get 3 trains relatively quickly. Possibly in 3 tries but it could take 5 or 6 to get that 3rd + train. You may want to consider training WL to 20 before attempting other trains.[/b]
