Combat takes place in arenas established in various cities of the fantasy world of Alastari. Originating in the city of Mordant, the gladiatorial games spread to dozens of cities, each in its turn erecting proud coliseums, towering centers of pilgrimage for devotees of the martial arts. Here, in the arena, warriors from cities throughout Alastari hone their skills and follow the Warrior's Path to glory and beyond.
You, as the manager of your guild, will equip, train, and fight your warriors using strategy sheets which allow an almost endless combination of strategic and tactical options. Your gladiators will be pitted in single combat against the warriors of other players who, like yourself, have prepared and sent us their strategy sheets. In time, some of these may become your allies, while others may become dreaded opponents.
Once combat starts, each duel proceeds until one warrior cannot continue as a result of wounds, exhaustion, or death. The action is reported in a series of one-minute rounds, complete with blow-by-blow details of the fight. Your fight results will also keep you abreast of your warrior's progress in learning new skills or increasing their attributes.
