The Advanced Duel2 Arenas
There are eight separate Advanced Duel2 arenas. These arenas are as
follows:
DM 100 |
Advanced Duel2 |
"The Talahya Arena" |
DM 101 |
Veteran A.D. |
"The Home Guard Arena" |
DM 102 |
Elite A.D. |
"The Primus Arena" |
DM 103 |
Independent Nations A.D. |
"The Free Blades Arena" |
DM 104 |
Delarquan Federation A.D. |
"The Darkholm Arena" |
DM 105 |
Andorian League A.D. |
"The Andorak Arena" |
DM 106 |
Slow Advanced Duelmasters |
"The Crysalis Arena" |
DM 107 |
Adantri A.D. |
"The Lirin Kiv Arena" |
Characters who have newly graduated to Advanced Duel2 will fight in the
Talahya arena (DM 100) or the Crysalis arena (DM 106), depending on whether they
come from a regular or slow arena, until the next transfer time, unless you want
them to transfer to their regional arena (to do this, fill out their A.D. Arena
Selection Sheet). When we announce each Grand Tournament, we will mail a new
A.D. Arena Selection Sheet for each active warrior. It will show if your warrior
has been inducted into Primus and, if not, to which arenas your warrior may
transfer. Qualification for and induction into Primus and qualification for Home
Guard depends on the following:
- The warrior's number of skills
- The warrior's number of expert skill ratings
- The warrior's number of attribute increases
- The warrior's number of fights
- The warrior's win-loss record
Each of the eight Advanced Duel2 arenas has a different flavor of play,
though they all have the same rules. Some managers choose to play only in one of
the A.D. arenas, and others play in more than one, even in all eight, because
they enjoy the varied atmospheres and levels of competition among the arenas.
DM 100, The Talahya Arena. This arena is the central arena of Advanced
Duel2. All warriors graduating from non-slow Duel2 arenas will first
be placed in Arena 100, the Talahya arena. Every six months (before each Grand
Tournament), when all warriors are evaluated, all warriors not inducted to
Primus will have the opportunity to stay in or move to the Talahya arena, if
they so desire.
DM 101, The Home Guard Arena. Veteran A.D. is intended for those legendary
good (but not great) warriors who have risen far, more on account of the school
of hard knocks, than on account of their initial capabilities. The Home Guard
arena is a place where warriors in this category may seek distinction among
comrades of comparable capability. All warriors that qualify for the Home Guard
will be notified on their overview.
DM 102, The Primus Arena. Elite A.D., or Primus (pronounced "PRIME-us") is,
in Greywand's words, "The sharp point of the Alastari Spear," the forum of
conflict for the finest of the finest. There are two ways a warrior can go into
this arena: by automatic induction or by choice.
Warriors who meet or exceed the induction criteria at the time of warrior
evaluation are automatically transferred to Primus. Those who meet the induction
criteria between evaluation times will not transfer to Primus until the next of
warrior evaluation, provided they still qualify. Warriors who qualify will be
informed of this fact on their overview at the time of warrior evaluation. It is
possible, however, for a warrior that was previously qualified to be inducted
into Primus to no longer be qualified at the time of the next warrior
evaluation. Warriors inducted to Primus may not transfer to any of the other
five Advanced Duel2 arenas.
Warriors who have not met the induction criteria for Primus but are otherwise
qualified to participate in those games may choose to transfer to the Primus
arena. This choice is not final, i.e., a qualified warrior may choose to
transfer to Primus and then at the next time of evaluation choose to transfer to
a different arena (assuming the warrior has not meanwhile met the Primus
induction criteria).
DM 103, The Free Blades Arena. This is the national Advanced Duel2
arena sponsored by the confederation of cities known as "The Independent
Nations." This arena is intended for those warriors interested in combat with
comrades/enemies hailing from their home arena or in forming alliances with old
comrades against the warriors of other arena cities of the Independent Nations.
A warrior who chooses to transfer to the Free Blades arena may, at a subsequent
evaluation time, choose to transfer to a different arena that the warrior is
qualified for. All warriors hailing from the Free Blades cities (except those
who have been inducted to Primus) may choose to transfer to the Free Blades
arena.
DM 104, The Darkholm Arena. This is the national Advanced Duel2 arena
sponsored by the Delarquan Federation. All warriors who hail from the Delarquan
Federation cities (except those who have been inducted to Primus) may choose to
transfer to the Darkholm arena.
DM 105, The Andorak Arena. This is the national Advanced Duel2 arena
sponsored by the confederation of nations known as "The Andorian League." All
warriors who hail from the Andorian cities (except those who have been inducted
to Primus) may choose to transfer to the Andorak arena.
DM 107, The Lirin Kiv Arena. This is the national Advanced Duel2 arena
sponsored by the empire of "Lirith Kai." All warriors who hail from the Lirith
Kai cities (except those who have been inducted to Primus) may choose to
transfer to the Lirin Kiv arena.

Each warrior (with the exception of those who have been inducted into Primus)
will have the choice of at least three arenas in which to fight: the Talahya
arena, the Crysalis arena, and their national arena (the Free Blades arena, the
Darkholm arena, the Andorak arena, or the Lirin Kiv arena). Most warriors will
also be eligible for either the Home Guard arena or the Primus arena. The
mini-overview sent at the time of warrior evaluation will show to which arenas
the warrior may transfer at that transfer time.
DM 106, The Crysalis Arena. This arena is the slow turnaround Advanced
Duelmasters arena. All warriors graduating from slow arenas in regular
Duel2 will first be placed in Arena 106, the Crysalis arena. Warriors from
all nationalities may fight in this arena, unless they are inducted into Primus.
Warriors may fight in this arena even if they don't hail from a slow arena in
Basic Duelmasters.
