| PRIDE, The
Also known as catfolk, the Pride are intelligent, bipedal felines inhabiting the southern reaches of the Rirorni Plains and Old Ratan. They are not common in Alastari and very little is known of their culture, though they appear to live in semi-nomadic hunting/family groups. Some scholars contend that the catfolk were created by Callenthar the mage; that they are, in fact, Aruaki in which Callenthar's spells did not break down. However, there is historical evidence that the Prides existed in the southern deserts long before Callenthar's time.
