History has been made! The North Dakota State University Bison, the Thundering Herd, are back-to-back-to-back-to-BACK 4 year consecutive FCS D-IAA national champions!!! Hell of a game, too! Right down to the wire beating Illinois State 29-27. Bismarck's own Carson Wentz led them back to Frisco and all the way to an NCAA collegiate record!! And on the same day my oldest got her acceptance letter from said university! Pretty cool!! Congrats NDSU!!!
Having said that, I'm always a little miffed at how little coverage ESPN gives that game. They keep some college basketball game on right up until kickoff and then the minute it's over, back to college basketball. No leadup, no post-game, nada. FCS is still the overlooked little brother to FBS, no question. Somewhat understandable, but you'd think they'd give the national championship game just a BIT more attention...oh well!!
I am predicting Packers vs. Patriots in the Super Bowl. Two teams I can't stand, uggghh....at least my Vikes ended the season with a win against the hated, hapless Bears. That'll keep me warm for a while...

Watched that game. Thought of you - the only NDSU backer I know. (Maybe the only one? ) Great game. Congrats to you. (And your daughter.)
Am getting more and more ambivalent about this years football finals.
Want, not predicting, a Denver win in the Super Bowl.
Oregon vs Ohio State? Sorta don't care. Am usually an ACC/Big Ten supporter, but, the Buckeyes? Guess I am predicting and hoping to see an Oregon NCAA Champ! (Sorry, Deep Thought. )

Well, I guess we have to say congrats to the Buckeyes, but it really was the Florida Gators because I saw Urban Myers and there was Tim Tebow on the sidelines with him.
