Since I was a slacker and sent this in a day too late, here is the spotlight that was supposed to run this turn. Perhaps it runs next turn? Posting here just in case...

The last time I visited a team spotlight upon the arena I described
my goals for this team. A quick refresher in case you forgot and if
you missed it, then this will be an abbreviated knowledge drop for
you. Living Dead was created when it was still possible to get a
marginal weapon as a favorite. The team sat dormant for neigh on 30
years before I got the itch to try and graduate them all in hopes for
at least one of these marginal weapon favorite warriors. Alas, Boogie
Man is no more and has little chance to change his fortunes in the
fall but the good news is we have graduated our first! Welcome Lord
Protector Knightmare! You know, that doesn't have a good ring to it
at all, does it?

Knightmare was considered the weakest of the original five. It is
quite surprising that he was the first to get political points, the
first (and only) to gain the throne, and the first to graduate. His
numbers are quite humble; 15-9-18-11(1)-10(1)-7-17(1). He had normal
endurance and tremendous damage, which is likely a contributing
factor. Incidentally, Knightmare is my tallest graduate to date!

Setting out to prove that he had a marginal weapon as a favorite I
experimented with just one, the broadsword. In retrospect I should
have also attempted the battle axe. It just simply slipped my mind to
try it. Below are the weapon/attacks/crit% for each of the weapons I
tried, starting with the marginal broadsword.

BS / 21 / 9.52%
GA / 27 / 14.81%
GS / 40 / 27.5%
QS / 5 / 0%
WF / 4 / 25%
WH / 15 / 6.67%

Things were looking bleak for the BS! Worse yet, he looked like he
might have an outside shot at the whiffle, albeit a small sample size.
When the dust settled and Sheila's number crunchers returned with
their report Knightmare was declared to favor a high offensive effort
and low activity level. Pretty standard for a basher. His favorite
learn was confirmed to be decise. Believe me, it was obvious without
the official word from the isle. He has no favored tactic. The
weapon you ask?

Wait for it!

Still waiting?

The MAUL! WTH! If that isn't a prototypical basher weapon! Alas,
the first graduate did not fulfill the dream of sending a broadsword
(or battle axe!) wielding basher to ADM. It was another first
however. Not only was he my tallest graduate, but also the first to
have the maul for a favorite weapon. Poor Knightmare will retire
after this cycle.

That leaves XUR, EVIL EYE, and NIGHTSTALKER left from the originals.
XUR along with WIGHT, who is a different kind of experiment himself,
have finally cracked the challenger champions and are earning
political points for themselves! Might we see another LIVING DEAD
spotlight soon? Let's hope so! Now to sharpen the blades of that
battle axe!
