Which would you guys rather have in this tourney, 10 TVs or just 1 TC? |

10's a pretty big number. It would be pretty exciting to read fights for 10 guys going into the runoffs. Since I'm still building a pipeline (of sorts) I'd have to go with some broad success now -- and later, as the man says, "its all about the TC baby".

I'll take the 2 TCs and 0 TVs any day. Or just 1 TC. |

I'd say it depends on your goals. If the TV's were from tournament teams like in 74 and 28, then they could be worth more than a single TC. |

Give me the TC any day. I can sell the prize to help pay for the game. |

Since I maybe sent 10 guys total, it's tempting to say TV's. A 10 member, 100% TV performance would be too good, even with no prize.
Interestingly, since I've never given a rat's behind for play above basic, this prize would be more fun for me than just about any of the others. So beyond being able to say I had one (TC) this is one of the few tournies where the prize would be as good as bragging rights.
So here's hoping one of the new TC's was rookies, where wild chance could make any manager the winner. |

Dr. Mabuse... thanks for the well wishes, I'm rooting for me, too
I've never TC'd.. I have had 4 top 4 finishes (3 with the same warrior, who is running freshman this time and TV'd at the face).
I've top sixed a LOT.
I've had my TC quality warrior.. and in both initiates and adepts lost a chance to TC with him because of mistakes in back up weapon. In one case, I just forgot to give him a back up and he lsot to a 1-3 WS in round 2 when he ended up like 9-3... another time he lost to a scum (Hi Sean!) because he brought an epee as a back up instead of a durable weapon... both my bad.

Ugh. I've torpedoed myself with backup mistakes too. I had a AB go 10-3 who lost a fight because I was running him FI vs. very light, but gave him a backup DA. |

I'd give a small handful of TV's for 1 TC, but ten (10)?? Uh-uh. I'd take the ten TV's - if for nothing else - the shear experience and learning potential.
I must qualify this with the fact that I don't run tourney teams/warriors and like to develop the warriors I *DO* sent to tournaments. I don't time them, I don't specifically develop them - I sit back and enjoy watching each and every fight. |
