Alright 2 roll-ups here, and I think both might be keepers (at least for basic)

I'm asking for opinions on what you think they'd be best as, I'm also including what I have thought about doing with them.

I'm trying to do some learning here so I won't be sending everything that isn't godlike to the dark arena so please only keepers advice.

1) 6-9-10-11-9-11-14

I was thinking

9-9-10-17-13-11-15 and making him a slasher.

Then:
2)12-9-11-21-4-4-9

I was thinking

17-9-11-21-9-4-13 and making him a basher.

So from one to ten how bad were my decisions (one being worst) and what would have done differently.

Thanks

Too busy now, I'll post some ideas when I get home from work.

IMO won't have endurance to be slasher. I think he'll start with poor, maybe normal if you're very lucky. You might want to make him a Striker.

Once again maybe an endurance problem. I'd probably go striker again.

It's all a matter of your goals. Somebody could tell you to make a warrior this style and this way, but what's the point if it's not something you enjoy running? Find styles you like and go from there. There's been plenty of times where other managers have told me no this won't work. You really have to find out what works for YOU. Of course there are certain thing that just don't work.

I personally didn't really get over excited about either rollup but that's just me. I do think the 2nd one would be fun to run as a Striker.

I'm definately not excited about either roll-up, as a matter of fact I don't realy like either roll-up.

But I certainly can't learn to play by doing nothing but Dark Arena. I gave thought into the endurance problem, and figured it wasn't really a big problem. Endurance can be gained from CON and I can raise CON to hearts content without the threat of ruining them should they come back exceptionaly blessed.

We'll see

My comments in blue.

1) 6-9-10-11-9-11-14

I was thinking

9-9-10-17-13-11-15 and making him a slasher.

I'd likely go 11-9-10-17-9-11-17 PS with this one.

The Neon Necromancer had one rule you should keep in mind: Will of 9 or 15; never anything in between.

2)12-9-11-21-4-4-9

I was thinking

17-9-11-21-9-4-13 and making him a basher.

You could either go basher or striker with this one. With luck, you could wind up with an Apprentices or under TC on your hands.

So from one to ten how bad were my decisions (one being worst) and what would have done differently.

Not bad, honestly; I've seen worse. At least you don't bring every con up to 10.

Ichabod

Hey! thanks for letting on to that 9 or 15 rule of thumb. I wondered why he would make such a silly rule so I checked out the skill charts.

And SHO NUFF, not a single skill there, I wouldn't even say 9. I'd look at 7 or 15.

Anyway the lower will will definately cause endurance problems, so this one probably won't see daylight ery long.

That's why I post Very Happy

The poor endurance resulting from a 9 will is why you go parry-strike on the first one. Those things can go all day - I've seen normal endurance PS's throw 70 attacks over 9 minutes and not get tired.

As to strikers, 9 will and poor endurance doesn't hurt them at all. They can go a really long time on it as well.

I like Ichabod's PS on the first one, but it'd do well for 20 fights or so as an AB with the same numbers. No hope of long term but I always get a lot of wins with that sort of AB.

I suspect I would make the second one a PR, even though the con isn't ideal and it also has to learn a useful level of parry fairly quickly to avoid a painful start recordwise. I believe you have to get a little lucky to get your decise up to competitive levels soon enough for the basher but as a striker it has a good chance.

I try to stay with the 9/15 rule but I do see some roll-ups I consider exceptions. (not one's that still will have poor endurance however)

Luck.
