I guess I'll jinx it now. My new basher, Bash-o-Matic '76, is 2-0. Now try not to get killed! |

I'm glad to see somebody from 20 building up their fighters (and you're now at 3-0). The Bash Masters are also out in full force - maybe they're getting tired of my DM columns.
Maularia is at 4-0, Maulmentum at 2-2 and Trolldozer, my former TV, went 0-3. It would nice to be able to enter a tourney without the word basher on the back of our team jerseys.

Bash-o-matic is looking good at 4-2! Great job so far! I loving seeing warriors represent for the arena. Maularia is 5-2 - with a loss to one of One Armed Bandit's non-Stomping Ground warriors - which means Narcoleptic Guard is going to be in for more punishment than usual, assuming that's even possible

I don't think that's possible. He's drubbed the guard pretty good in the two matches so far. |

Maularia wins in day 2 to go 6-2. Pretty impressive for a guy that everyone knows is a Basher going in. Keep it up SwineTiger! |

It's great to still be in the running, but with at least 7 strikers remaining, it's definitely an uphill battle. Update: I just drew a plunger, so luck is on my side. One more victory and I'll have a TV.
Now that Bash-o-matic has some skills under his belt (and a great tourney run), it will be that much more fun to clobber him.
Too bad OAB didn't run any of his basher squad since his Prisoners are doing well all over the tourney charts. Because he is one of the few remaining SG managers, I'm rooting for him across the board (well, not so much in Adepts if I end up facing him there).

As dreaded, I ran into the top striker and got knocked out of the running at 7-3. At least now I can go run some errands.

How much longer are we going to have too wait before the bare handed AB dominance issue is addressed? |

Maularia would have solved that problem if he faced one
It looks like there were plenty of non-AB in the top 5 of every bracket...did you lose to some seemingly invincible aimers this time around?

I am talking about Freshman and higher, where the dominance begins. No I normally have 6-10 of my Freshman and higher guys proxied, but I have pretty much given up on ADM, so none of my warriors fought.
Those left standing after round 10.
Primus= 4 AB's and 3 LU's
Contenders= 4 LU and 1 AB
Eligibles= 3 AB's, 2 LU and 1 SL
ADM= 6 AB's, 2 TP's, 1 LU, 1 PL and 1 WS
Freshman= 2 AB's, 2 TP and 1 BA
Total=34
AB=16 - 47%
LU=10 - 29%
TP=4 - 12%
SL=1 - 3%
WS=1 - 3%
PL=1 - 3%
BA=1 - 3%
If you narrow it down to top 4 or 5 of the ADM classes the dominance is even more evident. Everyone knows of the bare handed AB dominance issue and the one and done isn't going too affect it. The only thing the one and done does is change the tourney winners for a 3 year cycle. |

I had about as good of a tournament as you can have without winning a prize. 50 warriors entered, 60% w/l, 9 TVs. My TVs included a 3rd-time slasher TV in Eligibles, a 2nd-time basher TV in Freshmen, 2 Adepts, 1 Init, 3 Apprentices, and 1 Rookie TV. I got my first PR TV in Apprentices and I went pretty deep with a SL in Adepts. All in all, about as satisfying a tournament as I could order up while keeping my no-TC streak alive.
I'm not the most social person, but I enjoy the comraderie at the FtF and I'm already looking forward to the summer one. I hope everyone else enjoyed it as much as I did. |
