I agree, Blood Games is good and simple and connected to the game still. And yes, Street, BOC does rock! Or maybe I'm just Dazed and Confused... Wink

Best I've seen so far is Blood Feud, however I submit a name that's very simple:

ARENA

Straight to the point, and an outsider to the game would have at least a vague idea what it's about after seeing that.

Augh, totally a missed opportunity to not have this in the consolation prize pool in the KoP contest.

Have no idea what you're really saying, but thanks for the bump on the thread.

I wish there were some way RSI or we could play off the popularity of the Sparticus: Blood and Sand series to gain some attention for the game, use it as a springboard. Now they've got the social networking game for it, RSI should place a few adds in THAT thing, I'm tellin' you!

The show even has that "team of Gladiators" feel with the manager and everything. How long will it be before somebody takes the managerial name of Dominus? Or Doctore?

I think "Blood and Sand" would be an awesome name, but now it may be protected property of the series, alas....

Blood and Sand is my new team name for Sunset, with the characters' names. I'm just waiting for their overviews to show.

I think it goes without saying at this point that to all us veterans, this game will always be DUELMASTERS. But, a new name, one more captivating and exciting and far more marketable would ensure the survival of our favorite hobby and grow the game.

I begin to think that it's a waste of time to dwell on it, however. Things like this rarely change within RSI it seems. They are content with what they have. If anything will change it's likely up to us to make it happen.

I too call it Duelmasters...AND I SHALL CONTINUE TO CALL IT DUELMASTERS and I will be proud and hold my head high...at least until my wife comes back in the room and then I will get down off the office chair, untie the "Cloak" towel and claim to be cleaning cobwebs off the ceiling...and then when she is gone agian I will "Hrummph" in a state of victory for all Duelmasters and go about my day knowing that in some small way I made a difference...and then go celebrate with a beer because I have earned one...yes that is what I shall do!

That's how I usually roll, but I wanted to fight them as Rookies for the face. Alas, they did not show up in time so RSI loses out on my money. I expected them to come before the turn and I would fax them in; I probably should have sent a note saying I wanted them quickly for that reason. I'm sure they will come with the turn.
Not to threadjack...Arena sounds cool, or Gladiator...or Arena Gladiator

Since I started back in 86', it will always be Duelmasters to me too. If there was a new name, I see nothing wrong with Steel of Alastri or Swords of Alastari. Since a Lord Protector will defend the world, it is perfrect.
