Topic 1 - B (But feel that this is somewhat based on the avg # graduates/year. Is that count available?)

Topic 2 - Yes (This would allow for warriors that might have performed averagely in the arena, but excel in ADM their rightful place in the HoF. E.g. knowing how well Small Cat has performed in ADM I'm sure she's a shoe-in for the HoF with this vote, but would she have made it if the vote had happened the year she graduated?)

My problem with adding ADM+ into the equation is that it wasn't done in Shadowspire with what we are trying to accomplish here. Once you leave shadowspire you can add tourney fights, you can not fight to keep yourself at a "line" instead of having (supposed) to fight every single fight. You have hidden FE, you have the ability to add prizes to your warriors (not saying small cat did) and that is why I won't consider adm+ in my equation when voting for the best warriors in the arena or the HoF.

If we have an additional catagory of Post Shadowspire votes than sure. But I won't vote for any warrior regardless that has done something outside of Shadowspire in tournaments when that is not what this arena is about. (including my own). I have 2 or 3 I am setting up for a really nice run in ADM+ But even if they do well I don't feel they are deserving of anything unless they do something in this arena first. Or perhaps in the no tourney ADM arena.

You beat me to it Trip... I dont care how warriors from a non-tourney arena do in tourneys. (unless they're my warriors and they're TC'ing, but I'm getting away from the point...)

Option 1 = 3 warriors

Option 2 = No

Option 1 = 3 warriors - Not sure why we'd vote for 5 if only 3 can get into the Hall. Basically your votes for 4 and 5 could move that warrior past your choices of 1 thru 3.

Option 2 = Yes

As far as ADM goes, I hear what Trip and Hombre are saying. I think that The Small Cat is the exception, not the rule. The Small Cat has been somewhat of an ambassador for Shadowspire. He's definately brought attention / respect to Shadowspire. For everyone that loves Shadowspire there are just as many if not more naysayers. No matter how you feel about Shadowspire, it's produced a 2 time TC.

Once we figure all this out, a thread should be started in regards to who should or shouldn't get in and why. I'd start it but it seems somewhat self-indulgent. Wait self-indulgent, yes I'll start one soon. Laughing

I think we all have the right to vote as we feel fit with our own standards. We do not have to explain why we voted for warrior X nor why we did not so if small cat get in and people voted for his because of his ADM preformance that is up to them, the only requirment is that they had the votes not the votes of those that believe a certain way.

Agreed. I have however started a new thread where you can make your case for a warrior(s).

A, Yes

Is it going to be top 3 get in, or like baseball where you need a certain % of ballots, and there may be no inductees? If it's top three, then A. If it's %, then B.

Maybe you have stated this elsewhere, but I'm confused. Why would you be opposed to the idea of a Hallof Fame in general? Doesn't it just add to the general history of the arena?

As for ADM and AD tournaments, I don't think they have anything to do with Shadowspire and those wouldn't be in my ballot. Sure, people can vote as they wish, but we also get to argue about their various merits. (And, no, I don't think Pete Rose should be in the Hall of Fame!)

Dude. Chill. The Original Poster asked for peoples thoughts and he is opposed to having a Hall of Fame. He isn't trying to destroy the arena or anything. If he is opposed its ok. He doesn't have to participate.

Sorry, off my soap box now, I had a very aggravating day dealing with people who claim to be all about equality but can't handle the lift of the don't ask don't tell. I'm all better now.

Elephant has decided to step away from the HOF and I will respect his decision and he would be welcomed back if he changes his mind in the future.

Okay the voting solved nothing with it split pretty much right down the middle.

I have been troubled about the voting system I came up with, that was the reason for the vote. I also talked with Consortium about his opposition to the concept and his misgivings were exactly the same thing that was troubling me.

For the HOF to really work and be a true representation of the best warriors in Shadowspire history, we have to come up with a qualifying system that will make sure it is impartial as possible and try and keep politics out of the process. Using the ballot system I suggested could possibly be undermind by an alliance or group of managers agreeing to vote for each others warriors. Also the candidate thread that was created was well intentioned, but it also could bring politics into the process.

The only way I can think of it to be totally impartial is for all of us to come up with a criteria that a warrior must reach to be automatically inducted into the Shadowspire HOF.

So unless someone has a better idea, let's start working on the criteria.
