I used to, but haven't been active recently. SEA DOGS is my team from DM-21.
On Friday, people who requested and paid extra for FedEx delivery will start getting their tournament results and there will be spoilers galore in the chat room. Check in on Friday afternoon/evening if that is what you are looking for.

What is the prevailing wisdom on the Freshmen class cut off? (Ignoring the recent wierdness that obviously wasnt legit).

For Bashers, 142 skills (no trains) is very close to the very top

All of these were ADM and dropped down to Freshman.
Had 2 more that dropped down, but they were not my original warriors so I don't have up to date skill learns. One is a PL and the other is another ST.
This one has stayed Freshman for years and makes me think that stat raises may have been removed from the equation.
WS - 86FE - 131 skills - 15 raises - 3 Mas, 2 Ex
Last time we discussed the Freshman line we thought that it might be a breakpoint system that watches skills and ratings. Move above either of those preset lines and you get moved up.

Looks like the second turn three for the adepts with the fools in the title at the top is the correct one and the other is to be tossed out. I did really well in that tourney to know this info. I supposed there was a rerun so we could read the fun stuff. Anyone know if that sounds right? Never mind im pretty sure now the second one counts.

I was a little ticked off, when my guy who allegedly dropped down to Freshmen, actually fought in ADM (a glorious 0-3). The ONLY reason I sent him was because my mini's said he was Freshmen.

Ditto, I think I had 5 ADM fools who had Freshmen Tourney on their second batch of ADM overviews.

Recieved my results via regular mail today. Only fought 4 and they didn't do much, as I was expecting.
Congrats to all the winners.

Finally able to pick up my results....5 warriors sent, horrible results (even by my limited experience).
Have a question:
I was reading through my fights, in the order of the packet. My single Adept went 6 rounds in the adept arena.
I flipped through the other 4 warriors, then found my ADEPT in the Fool Tourney (?).
I went back to the first 6 fights, and saw he went: L, L, W, W, W, L (eliminated). For each fight his tourney record looked correct (ie 0-0, 0-1, 0-2, 1-2, 2-2, 3-2, 3-3)
I looked at the FOOL results, he entered the Fool Tourney on Turn 3 at 0-2, won to go 1-2. FOOL Turn 4 he lost and was eliminated (again?) at 1-3.
What happened?
I only care because I want to keep his skill learns straight.
EDIT: Nevermind, found out on CHATZY that apparently warriors with two losses weren't sent to the fool tourney on round 3 so they re-ran it. At least I confirmed a skill bonus!

I guess its been sufficiently long enough that I can post spoilers in this thread. Although come to think of it, my results don't spoil that much.
30 warriors sent, with at least 1 of each style and a decent distribution from Primus to Rookies. Overall record was 152-91-4-1. The one death was a contest warrior at 0-2 in the Rookies. His death prevented me from having a single entry in the Fool's Tournies, as he was my only warrior that started out 0-2. That's pretty neat, I guess.
Of my six hopefuls that I posted earlier, only two won TVs. Jetsam, an AB bust-out, went 11-3 in ADM for a deep TV, but not deep enough. Iron Shackle went 10-3 in Challengers for another deep TV. Both warriors ended up losing to some TMM studs, although Jetsam's eventual elimination was at the hand of TUM's SL. Gringold went 3-3 in Contenders, which leads me to believe that the class has passed him by. He'll be training stats between now and July, so he'll either end up being a better Contender or a really bad Primus guy. My Eligible bust-out Bilge Rat went 7-3 in a tough, but small, field. Turd Burglar and Conundrum cruised past him; I'm only sad that one of them will still be with us this summer at the FtF. My Adepts BA came up short with a 6-3 performance and my Apprentices ST walked away with a 2-3. This shows how much I know about my warriors, when only 2 of the 6 that I pick to TV actually do so.
On the plus side, I did still get 6 TVs out of 30 warriors.
I sent my two regular Freshman because I'm stubborn, figuring my scum TP might still beat these more skilled warriors, especially ones that weren't set up optimally for the class and my ST bust-out was already committed, having trained his ST to 21 and WT to 23 before the tourney. It turned to be a good move, as all those ADM-Veterans who were classified as Freshman were reclassified as ADM for the tourney. Oops. Things were looking pretty good for a while as Spare Anchor and Scuttlebutt cruised to TVs, but my hopes were derailed by the Lima Bean Express. Someone should have mentioned that pirates and vegetables don't mix.
My other two TVs were a PR in Challengers (who has since earned a traditional graduation with those extra Political Points) and an unlikely Rookie TV with a contest warrior. At least my Rookie will have a TV challenge at his disposal for the first three or four turns of the Turf War.
It was a great tourney record-wise and TV-wise, but a disappointing tourney in that a 10-0 ADM start, a 10-0 Freshman start, and a two time runner-up in Challengers all fell short of the big prize.
Looking forward to Philly, I can't figure out a path to the TC for myself. Clones in Rookies, stat-switches in Rookies through Adepts, Frankensteins in ADM and Eligibles. Its looks pretty ugly out there. TMM beat my best Challenger in the rankings with not one, but four warriors this tourney. That just seems like overkill. I'm going to send the usual OAB crew, 50 warriors spread out across the classes, ADM-level bust-outs of varying quality, decent natural basic warriors seasoned to perfection. If I get beat, there is always Bloodgames, right?
