I have a squad that I want to send, but as the subject states I wont be attending this year. Mostly rookies, would it be better to send them, hoping for the best of luck, or just wait for the MI where they(the rookies) would have a better shot at winning with alt strats?

I would enter some of your Rookies (no more than half).

Pick a variety of Rookies, preferably ones that can function well with a single strategy/learn. Early on in the Rookies, most people are running on a single strategy anyway because they are unable to find out their opponents' styles until the later rounds, so you won't be at a huge disadvantage.

If you run some Rookies now, but save others, then when Halloween comes around, you'll have Initiates, Apprentices, AND Rookies to run, instead of just Rookies.

Just my two cents.

OAB's two cents are worth a hundred dollars.
Right on great advice.
We echo it and wish we had said it first.

And good luck!

I'm in the same boat, I asked about a proxy months ago, but no one has volunteered. So I guess I'm running single strats too. I only really have one for the rookies anyway, an ideal scum, so he's not doing anything but 1-1 and training CN all the way.

I'm willing to pick-up/proxy for you guys if you want. I don't have my strats done up yet, but I am expecting to enter about 60 of my own. My likelihood of making strat changes early on are slim, but since most of my guys should be out by R8, the later rounds will get more attention.

PM me for contact info if you are interested.
