As a lot of you know, I haven't been around for awhile...so I was curious...

Is the Primus TC now always won by an aimed-blow?

Are the top-end aimed blows being run open-handed?

Are there now multiple maxed out aimed blows that were style switch prizes used on max luck lungers?

Is it still possible to roll up +4 (or +5 if ambi) AT, +4 DF? Does anybody know how often it happens?

Is it possible with tourney prizes to be "better" than max?

If not, have the warriors that were once "better than max" been adjusted?

Who are now the very best warriors in Primus? What warriors regularly beat Furious Bear...and how?

From what I hear, the top ABs are all fist favorites and dodge tactic. There are probably a dozen or so of them that can TC. They do it by being unhittable. People with blademaster attack cannot touch them, and it ends up being an endurance contest.

None of the prizes in recent memory have been allowed to make an "out of bounds" warrior. No bonuses in excess of +4, and no bonuses in a skill your style can't be bonused in.

Past several years, yes.

Yes.

Yes, but only one is active. (Furious Bear)

Yes. According to Terrablood, your odds of rolling up +4 Attack, are around 17%. Your odds of rolling +4 Defense are 35% (no way that's right, should be around 5%), and 10% chance of rolling up ambi. So, it can happen, but it's rare. I think in the 19 years I've been playing I only have 1 +4/4 Aimer that rolled up that way naturally.

You cannot apply a prize on a warrior (such as a bonus potions) to make him directly out of bounds like you could in the old days. But there are ways you can implement some prizes to make a warrior (kinda) out of bounds. Such as shrinking a maxxed damage warrior with a SZ prize can make him theoretically +6 defense.

Warriors who are better than max have not been adjusted and are still out of bounds. There are probably about a dozen or so out of bounds warriors floating around the system. Most of the non-AB's are harmless.

Off the top of my head, these are the following warriors (that are active) who have a chance to win Primus right now: Webbed Toes, Drat, Furious Bear, Jack Daniels, Terminus, Sebastian, Bonnie, Little Crow, John Ashcroft, Janet Reno, and Bob, Eternal.

None of the top AB's can really hit each other until they get tired, making the outcome pretty random. All you really need is +4 Defense and the Fist fave if you want to compete. Several of the AB's listed above don't even have 21 DF.

Is it possible with tourney prizes to be "better" than max? No

If not, have the warriors that were once "better than max" been adjusted? No. I know of 1 warrior is running who reportedly is +6 att

Who are now the very best warriors in Primus? What warriors regularly beat Furious Bear...and how? See results of this Tourney. All of the AB's who TV are capable of winning and even some who don't TV can win it all.

Just to make the list more complete, I think we should add "5" to this group. Didn't he win Primus within the past year?!

I thought Rabid Gerbil was a style switch too. Maybe not?

Agreed. I think I have also only have one natural AB that rolled up +4/+4.

So...

Style-switch would be the most powerful tournament prize, obviously.

How often is the prize given out? When was the last time it was given out?

I believe it was only offered a few times and isn't going to be given out again, because it is too powerfull.

Exactly you, I could be wrong this is just an educated guess, take any +4 ATT/+4 DEF warrior and make it into an AB and get an unbeatable warrior. It's a darn shame too because then my +5 ATT/+4 DEF LU would be a HOT commodity!

Great questions.... you spurred a few managers who rarely post here, lately, to answer on the same day you posted Laughing Cool Shocked

Well...not quite unbeatable, apparently...

Furious Bear *does* lose to other aimed blows from what I've seen...

I guess you'd just have another one of "them" that "can win it all"...

Furious Bear was the least scary (to me anyways) of all the top end AB's. I had much more difficulty beating Sebastion, Gerbil, 5, Webbed Toes etc. Granted, this could be due to strategy or faves or whatever, but i didnt notice the style-switch breaking anything in recent years.

I think we need to start a petition to get the name changed back ...... or at least to Furious Impaler Bear or Furious Bear Impaler.

Yeah...I appreciate the sentiment as well.

I often thought that "Furious Impaler" was probably my best name.

How long ago was Furious Impaler active? Was he a top contender?

How do you figure out how a warrior gets +4Att and etc?
