Its time for Baseball! Can't wait to get to Miller Park this year. Might even go see a Twins game. Spring is in the air! Go Brew Crew! |

If you are a Brewers fan and enjoy the new Miller Park - then you probably know the story of the park and George Petak; he is a friend and former work associate of ours. |

Spoiled here, my team plays at Pac Bell Park! A truly special place, I try to make it to a game at least once a season. |

My team plays at Tropicana Field.
Having said that, I prefer going to minor league games live. I like the small crowds and cheap tickets. |

It was good to see JV welcome the Twins to the 2013 season in FINE fashion! Apologies to Nomad and Stikkie early on for winning the division again this year.... maybe y'all can win the wild card! |

I have serious doubts regarding any kind of post-season appearance by the Minnesota club again this year...
April 1st is god-awful early to be starting the MLB season. They should not be starting until May, and finished by end of September. Humbug. |

I agree the season is too long. The only way to play baseball in the north is like Miller Park, with a roof that can close. I heard good things about Target field, probably heading there this August to catch a game. |

For us baseball fans, we look at it just the opposite. Those 5 months of winter are long, cold, and hard. |

If that is warming up, they should pitch him every other day. |

Of course I think the key to the performance was that it was against the Astros. |

Not to nitpick but I just added up their salaries, as per ESPN, and it is $21,165,500. There's a Yahoo article dated Feb 5,2013 that stes "barring any moves 20 players will make more this year then the entire Astros payroll." This article had them at under $20M so they must have splurged!
That said they scored the first run of the year and can say that at one point they had the best record in all of Baseball with that salary!
Set a new record with 43 strikeouts in a 3 game season opening series. WOW!
Anyone dare to bet that they'll break the worst ever record of a 120 loss season? Not counting the Cleveland Spiders 134 as it was pre-1900. |

I am pretty sure it was decided before the season started that the SF Giants would repeat as World Series Champs ...
Let's hear it for your 2013-2014 Championship SF Giants ...
The only way that could sound better is if you substituted Giants for 49ers ....
2013-2014 the year of Rice A Roni !!!! |
