Yeah, the old "Kingdom Clone!" Lenny Wolf was an arrogant dick for being such a Zeppelin ripoff, but talented without a doubt! Listen to "What Love can be" off their first album! Get it on is still an ass-kicking tune despite being such a Black Dog copy.
Check out this if you haven't already! Came out in like July and I just discovered it! The newest, latest, greatest power-trio super group! Winery Dogs!!

WRIF 101.1 in Detroit was THE very first station in America, if not the world, to get that song and they played along with the practical joke and for a little while, 3-4 days, claimed it was a new Zeppelin song!

Not sure what it is but I never much cared for Richie Kotzen. I've actually heard this before but never knew who it was, other than Sheehan on Bass. It sounded like Chris Cornell to me.

Within Temptation has just today released the 2nd single from their soon to be released alum Hydra!
This one's a cool up tempo rocker featuring the former singer of Killswitch Engage Howard Jones (not the 80s Howard Jones). And Sharon den Adel is looking pretty HOT in this kickass video!
Check it out, it has one of those crazy guys wearing a wingsuit; he even splits 2 spires of a skyscraper! The song is about thrill-seeking/thrill-seekers!
42,600 views as of 3 am Eastern Time just about 15 hours after it's release!
104,150 views as of Midnight Eastern so that's in the area of 60 hours. Not bad for a band in a younger genre of Heavy Metal; it's Symphonic Metal/Gothic. A somewhat sweet "Operatic style". Lots of colors in the sound between all Guitars, Bass, Keyboard, Drums, and powerful Voices! (think Evanescence and Trans-Siberian Orchestra)

I just found one of the MOST awesome 80's type of Heavy Metal sound songs!
PS- Does this guy even own a shirt? I've never, and I mean NEVER, seen him with a shirt on!

A little excited to hear that Nightwish named Floor Jansen( a Dutch first name not referring in any way to a/the floor beneath you) their new lead female singer! Their other singer is from the 80s Metal Band Tarot, Marco Hietala, who I think Stik may find kinda' cool since he plays Warwick Basses!
I posted one video from her in the Cover Song... Gem thread from the band After Forever (like the Black Sabbath song).
I can't wait to hear the stuff they will write knowing her voice and her being the official new singer!

Hoping I didn't post this already but it's the type of song that almost anybody might like!

Just to keep it separate:
Here's a piece from yet another Joe Satriani disciple (Hammett,Skolnik, VAI), by the name of Doug Doppler! You'll soon know it too as it's pure Satch-ism from the get! It's an older song, 10 years-ish, so I could only find it here:

Beautiful song with delicate to powerfully delivered vocals by a trio of singers.
ReVamp *(Feat. Russell Allen and Simone Simons)- Sweet Curse
First singer sing is Floor Jansen, ReVamp and now Nightwish, the second is Simone Simons of Epica. Easy to tell the male vocalist...

Interesting duet for the third single from Within Temptation. This song features Dave Pirner of Soul Asylum. Their voices work quite well together. I didn't think it would work but this is a more straight-forward Hard Rock song.
Enjoy!

New one by In This Moment is pretty interesting musically; and video wise. If anyone knows who Motionless In White is the singer is the guy in the video. I like the opening guitar line, REALLY sweet tone.

Was tooling the old usuals and found this master still at the height of his craft... and gone to soon! Just look at the faces in the audience as they enjoy this man at his craft! True music genius!
