TOGS is coming! TOGS is coming! Let's all put great pressure (You know - have a friendly conversation with) on The Sentinel at The Face to "bring it on home" right after The Face. (The Crazy Creepster is really, really missing the cows and chickens.)

Gah, not so fast. I'm still in need of a partner.

Well a team too, but they sell those at the face so the partner will probably be harder to find!!

Even if one is short a partner pre TOGS, when it is announced, and managers declare their interest, singles turn into partners. Many of these "blind dates" do VERY well.

Um, I may be jumping the gun a little bit, but when's the next TOGS start? I'm pretty sure it's not annual, but I'm just wondering if there is a set time after or if everyone decides that Ed. has had long enough to recover. Basically I'm asking because I've got the itch being a non-TOGS team in 60 and I also just felt like posting something since I've never actually done it.

Usually we go at least 6-9 months after the end of the TOGS. It takes several months for people to muster up the nerve to start hassling about it again and a few more for me and/or whoever takes the mantle to come to grips with starting it up again.

They have creams for that. And congrats on busting your posting cherry.

hey Pauly, good to see you on the boards.

to answer your question, there's no set schedule for it. not only is Ed. frazzled by the end, but many of the manager's/writers get serious burn out too (can you picture Jiles at the end of this? he'll need to take a few weeks in Thailand after it's all over [not to mention the therapy]), and need a break to recharge the appropriate portions of their brains. i think on the average it happens every year plus a little, but i'm sure someone with a better memory will correct me.

A year? I was crowned the first TOGS Champion in 2000, that TOGS started in 1999. We're already on TOGS 5. So it's more like 6 months.

(See? And you thought my shameless self-promotion would never come in handy)

Because Manager is a modest person, who seeks not fame, nor fortune. He wishes to meditate upon the rites and rituals of Duelmas..., er, Duel 2 in perfect harmony. A DM Zen Master, hidden in the mountains of some far-off land, who only speaks, but rarely, and only to those that travel the long and dangerous trail that leads to his secluded temple complex. He would never openly discuss any of his accomplishments in TOGS. Rolling Eyes

Hadn't heard that, or seen any evidence to indicate that, lately.
