Starting next turn, I'll be there for at least 8 turns, maybe longer. Come on back

A returning Aruak player was kind enough to provide me with a newsletter from July of 1985 (turn eight) which confirmed a milestone I always touted.
It stated in the Spy Report that "Reignbo Warrior beat the Spymaster...this is the first time in arena history that a spymaster has been slain in a dark arena bout." However, I don't know if it applies only to Aruak or other arenas as well, so if you know otherwise, let me know. Reignbo was a piker running 10-10-10 across the board.
It was great to read the old newsletter since the Spy Reports weren't automated and I had a warrior named "Goldlust-Female" since they accidentally put the gender of the warrior in her name. There were 43 teams, the most popular fighting style was Parry-Strike (23) and the bottom two were Aimed Blows (eight) and Wastes (4). There were also loads of PA's.

Sigh... sorry guys, I never got back into Aruak or D2 at all for that matter. I played for 12 years straight and then... ppbbbt. Not sure if I'll come back any time soon, other expenses in money and time.
Hey, is there a dead tourney this year? I haven't seen a newsletter in many months now. When's the cutoff if so? I might do that at least.
Oh, Hello everyone!

Turns for the dead tourney are due by Oct 22. You'll have to hurry if you want to get in, but they will accept your turns faxed in if you need to.

Sorry to hear you won't be around for awhile Adie. I understand the money issues as i'm considering cutting back after the tourney myself.

Well they are now little because they keep dying or visiting the DA. It is fun to be getting out of the tourny arenas, Shy Meerkat is my highlight in 11. Tiger is interesting.
The arena seems to be the type of arena I will like.

If you like that type of arena you should check out Ardivent DM#46. It could use a few more teams. You would get some free fights as there is currently no Uncharted team.
Plus Consortium, Technogeek, Jondeaux, Papa Bear, Jorga and Myself run in the arena of the red sands.

I could be up for that, I just put a team named Soak (read it in the mirror ) in Lapur. I will have to see what I have in the wings.

Yeah, come to The Arena of The Red Sands - Ardivent DM46. A smallish, butstrong, crowd.
And Lapur is quite "cool" also. Look up our Metal Mincers there.
