...when I played DM.

I would like to return to the game, but I'm not sure how to go about it.
I had two teams running (...I think...) one of them was named Aaarghh! in DM 47 Chimlevtal, and one more named Vikings(?) in another arena, even had a warrior in ADM.

But I need to get some info/summary on them if possible, how should I go about that? Worst case I can start a new team, but it would be brilliant to get my old teams back.

I live in Norway and would also like to know if there is any possibility to mail the strategy sheets instead of sending them by snail mail, which caused a lot of problems with due dates, and lots of scratch marks on my mailbox (and the mailman) while waiting for the envelope from RSI. Anyone know if it's possible to do this by e-mail?

Thanks for your replies in advance, and see you in the arena!

Not sure on e-mail but you can put your teams on maintenance (you can still send in strats every turn but if your strats don't make it your guys will fight with their last entered strategy).

You can email either Lee,Sandy, or CSR@reality.com and ask them about your account. Give em your name and if you remember the adress you were at when you played I'm sure they'll find your guys/gals.

First off welcome back to the addiction!

Second, No you can not E-mail the strat sheets in but you can fax them if you want to pay an extra charge ($2 I believe, if you decide to do it this route there is a free fax you can use by emailup to 3 pages a day, but RSI will still charge you a fax charge, PM for details)

Now as far as your old teams are concerned RSI still has all your info saved in their database and they can mail you all your overviews, all they need is your account number. The best way to reach them is to call 480-967-7979 (I am not sure how to dial out of country so you will have to get with someone else for that but there are plenty of people from other countries, Grimm and LePentarque to mention a couple), call that number and talk to one of the ladies and they will help you out. This is the easiest way to start. You can also Email them but they are not really fast at responding that way.

I know the teams in 47 and what ever arena Vikings(?) Wink are in will be more than happy to welcome you with open arms. Any manager that posts here on the forums are more than happy to help in any way they can. Just ask any question you have.

A great place to start while your waiting on your stuff is to read through the forums here, a lot of questions will be answered and alot more will be raised.

If you decide to start other arenas I know we would love to have you in either 81 (the no tourney arena) and 21.

Welcome back and have fun,
Ron

Welcome Back!

As others have said, contact RSI and it is 90% likely they can get all your old info just from teh team names. Find one team and they find the account.

As stated earlier, fax, but no email for turns. There is at least one other European player currently (France) and several others have been around over the past couple of years. The French manager, Le Pentarque, usually has to send in turns before he has seen the results of the previous turn, I believe. However, the on-line newsletters will let you know the results and give you styles and rankings for challenges. (Assuming you don't want to wait and read them old school - without knowing the results.)

Ask if you have questions! Here or send a PM. Just about anybody will help.

I also have a team called the Vikings, my original team in Kolact. Innactive at the moment, but I fire them up from time to time. Of course, I used the name because my family is . . . Swedish.

Welcome back! I was in your shoes about 14 months ago.... simply call RSI and speak to Sandy or Lee and they'll be more than happy to get you everything you need... from account number to warrior minis and overviews. The website has a tremendous amount of information on it, so I highly suggest reading everything you can get your hands on. Also make sure to visit and bookmark www.terrablood.com.

Feel free to PM if you have any questions!!!

I don't think the Norwegian vikings would even call the Swedish version vikings. While thr Danish and Norwegian vikings were off plundering England, France, etc, the Swedish "vikings" were off building trade alliances with Russia. Smile

As a European player, I can tell you it can be done. Snail mailing turns can be a hassle and some times you're forced to send the next turn in before you've seen the previous.

What I do instead is write down the strategies in an Excel spread sheet that sort of looks like the regular strategy sheets. Then, I save it as a PDF and go to faxzero.com and fax them in for free. (NB: you can only send three pages at a time for free so you may have to split the turn sheets into two PDFs.) Sure, there is an extra fee associated with faxing in turns but mailing out of Norway is not free either.

Let me know if you want more info on how to make overseas playing workable.

Fabulous all! Thanks for all the helpful advice Smile

I'll be back in a little bit, and will check out the fax machine at work... then it will be free Very Happy

I'll get my info off RSI, and look into making a strategy sheet in excel.
Any new stuff that a returning manager really need to know?
I had an ADM character what about him, anything new for him?

Happy days are here... Overview of my three teams and a new roll up was in the mailbox this afternoon.

Now I need a theme and some good names for my new team, and decide on which one of the three teams to play.

See you on the sands!

Can I say I'm totally jealous of your managerial name and wish I had thought of it? Welcome back!
