Shadowspire Hall of Fame

Before I took my hiatus there was alot of talk about a Shadowspire Hall of Fame. I was actually pretty close to making this happen with a few other managers and a website. Well, I left and looks like my idea left with me. I'm back and so is the idea.

I think after much talk about who are the greatest warriors in Shadowspire history, it's time to move forward and open the Hall of Fame. Thanks to a push from Visionst and Darque's awesome record/history keeping of the arena, it's going to happen. We have a website (already up) and ballots for year 1 that will be sent out (hopefully by turn 114) soon.

Here's how it will work. Any active or non-active manager of 81 is eligible to vote for the warrior(s) they feel should be in the Hall of Fame. The ballots will be diplo'd (hey we're old school) to all active teams. Any inactive manager can contact Visionst, Darque or me for a ballot. Ballots will also be available for download through Adobe Reader on the website. But wait, there's more. You will also be able to vote through email. Yes, we have an email address set up just for this. We'll release the website and email in a few days after everything has been worked out.

Ballots will be for the first 3 years with year 4 to follow. First turn a warrior graduated was turn 20, the years are as follows, Year 1 - Turns 20-45, Year 2 - Turns 46-71, Year 3 - Turns 72-97. Year 4 will be 98-123. Dates for when voting is closed will be determined and posted. Once the votes counted and finalized, the warriors will be enshired and listed on the HoF website.

The ballots will have the following info: Name, ID, Style, Team Name, W-L-K at the time of their invite, winning % and FE at time of invite.

You will be able to make 3 votes(per ballot year) and only 1 can be for your own warrior. You can only submit one ballot per ballot year. Voting is not allowed in the forums. Any votes submitted throught the forums will not be counted.

Have fun with this. There is plenty of data on ballots to assist you with your decision. Let's not threadjack this in regards to why a warrior should or shouldn't be in the HoF. I'll probably start a new post tomorrow on this matter(if it hasn't been started already).

I really like this. Thanks to Elephant, Visionist and Darque for adding a nice aspect to playing in this arena. I can't wait to get my first one in.

We talked about voting in the old discussion, but I was wondering which you prefer 3 or 5 votes per manager. It would still be the top 3 recieving votes going into the HOF.

Plus I also think it might be good to do a Veterans Ballot every 4 years, where all Lord Protectors during that period that have not been voted into the HOF already get one last chance to get in. After this those warriors would not be eligible for future ballots. The ballot would use the same voting and qualification system as the yearly vote.

I believe we have enough managers online for a quorum, so please cast your vote for the 2 things below.

Option A: 3 votes (Only one can be for your own warrior)
Option B: 5 votes (Only one can be for your own warrior)

Veterans Ballot:
Yes or No

Please keep the discussion to a minimum so it will be easy to see the voting, I need this settled in the next week.
