The Vikings are all that are standing in the way of my Dolphins and Andy Luck. I'm sure Luck would rather maintain a sunny lifestyle. Go Vikings!!!!
Lions= awesome. Calvin Johnson and Wes Welker look ready to destroy receiving records.
Cam Newton... I was way mistaken. Glad to see him fighting on through the losses. I like the idea of throwing him out there and getting it done as best he can.
Hey Raiders...Darren McFadden is really good. Might want to hand him the ball a minimum of 20 times. And how about those Bears actually handing the ball off. Martz must have cut back on the glue huffing.
Vikings!Vikings!Vikings!
I don't think the Vikings will take Luck if they get in that position (shudder), unless it's to trade him away. Unless of course he just looks like Superman this season. They put their pick with Ponder, and I think we'll be seeing him shortly...

True. And on average, first round draft pick QBs are busts. So far, Newton hasn't shown anything to indicate he won't be one.
Despite having an all pro RB and all pro WR, Newton either 1) can't move the ball (had 5 downs to gain 11 yards to win/tie versus AZ) or 2) gives the ball away (multi-INT games, INTs returned for TDs).
He is single handedly costing his team victories, and he probably pushes handicapped children out of wheel chairs too. And steals candy from babies.

AH! I forgot about Ponder. Good luck.

There would only be a few teams that would not take Luck number 1 overall, and the Vikings are not one of them. Ponder was a reach. He may develop into a strong NFL QB, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it. Luck is the real deal, period. He may possibly be the face of a franchise for 10+ years.
The Vikings should be better than they are. There appears to be some loss of team continuity, and I would suggest that most of the coaching staff (if not all) will be replaced at season's end.
It is an interesting year, because there are so many terrible teams. I would argue my Seahawks have the worst team on paper, but they are starting to over-perform. AZ, Miami, St Louis, Denver, and KC are all competing to be the worst teams in the league.
The team that I really do not want to see get Luck is Indy. Screw Indy, they had Peyton, they do not deserve to get another franchise QB prior to their current retiring. If Peyton was there they would be a threat to go 12-4. Amazing.

Hmmmm.
Not a CAM fan, particularly.
Don't particularly like his past "issues".
BUT, he produces greatly for a rookie QB, seems to be liked and thought of as a leader (local papers - live 2 hrs from Charlotte), and has seemingly stepped up the Panthers, albeit still losing, performances.
Don't plan to let his past get in the way of our evualation of his NFL value.
He appears worth the pick to the Panthers.
We think OAB was right on!

Many times in the past, I have wished for McNabb to get a broken leg.... never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd I wish it would happen while he was a Viking!
Loved that comment after last game too, "oh, we forgot about Adrian Peterson".... that's like leaving a triple 21 home from the tourney!

He usually is, but it's not OAB's decision making I question.
And now for something completely different... is it too early to call a Packers - Ravens Super Bowl yet?

Probably waaaaaay too early, but the bold often come out on top.
Certainly looks possible, and wouldn't that be something?

Stupid Packers was hoping they'd lose leaving the Lions the last undefeated team at 4-0 making tonight's MNF irrelevant on that note.
A nice 24-13 victory and a 5-0 record! Megatron with another TD... only Optimus Prime can stop him!
Next week should be an interesting game but I'm hoping the Lions unstoppable pass rush will force Alex Smith back into his old form! Nick Fairley with no stats but good to see him healthy, and last year's 7th round pick (Willie Young) with back-to-back games with a sack. Then a matchup with a fading Falcons team followed by an almost guaranteed win against Denver. Could be looking at an 8-0 record going into the Bye week!!!
My question will be is it too early to predict the Lions will make the playoffs?

America's Team roared!
Never too early to predict! Hope springs eternal!
The King Of The Jungle in the playoffs? Why not!?
And those Bills at 4-1?
Who'd a thunk ..........
And the Charlotte and local papers continue to praise Cam Newton (Of "YES WE CAM" tee shirt fame.) as he plays like a fine quarterback, despite being a newby and having no (but soooooo close) wins.

Lions look good. Hope Stafford stays healthy.

A fine quarterback? I guess it's a matter of perspective. Personally, I'd expect more wins and less bone-head decisions from the #1 overall pick and Heisman winner considering the talent he is surrounded by (an all-pro WR and an all-pro RB). He keeps losing. Does he get a free ticket all year??
Rookie Andy Dalton plays for dysfunctional Cincinnati (Ugh!) and is 3-2 despite having faaaar less talent to work with (his top receiver is another rookie).
The real question is would Carolina be 5-0 (instead of 1-4) right now if they had drafted ANY other QB in the draft instead of Sham?

Last rant of the season (of this nature), I promise.
Another week, another three interceptions, zero TD passes, and a loss by Cam Newton (and a 44.6 passer rating). Sporting a 1-5 record.
Meanwhile, Rookie QB Andy Dalton (from last year's best college team, TCU) has won again, threw another TD, zero interceptions, and earned a 111.5 passer rating for the game. Has a 4-2 record.
I wonder who will get more positive media attention?

Seems like Tim Tebow did this week.
Meanwhile a disappointing week for the Lions and Bills, but they surely looked like footbll teams!

My Vikings did not. Uggh. Only good thing to come out of it was finally seeing Ponder play after things were already out of hand. He looked pretty good, too, but I'm sure Frazier will still start McNabb for next week's slaughter at the hands of the cheeseheads.
Didn't see the Lions losing to the niners at home. Nice manager, I mean coach, skirmish post-game! Knuckleheads....
