They did 2 Mozart pieces. The one off Here Comes Trouble (w/ Don't Call Me Dude) is Sonata#3. Scamboogery had Sonata #11 (Rondo ala Turca).

Awesome version!!! ..Is it sad i liked it better than Bowie's ?[/quote]

I don't think so. It has alot better flavor and clearly superior production value to it!

Jumped into this late, for some reason figured all Duel2'ers were into southern rock bands only... (anyone remember the puppy pack?) Was shocked to see someone put up Ugly Casanova since Modest Mouse is my favorite band. They have ridiculous hits and crazy misses, but no 2 songs are the same. Band of Horses - then some of my older stuff - Pixies, The Cult, Dinosaur Jr and anything Bob Mould. Thanks to all for the reads and suggestions -

You threw out some good ones there Hombre .... and dated yourself in the process ... Seems like we listened to a lot of the same stuff growing up ..

The Pixies .. Like i mentioned before .. one of my top 5 bands of all time .. Frank Black is a genius .. saw them recently doing the Doolittle album cover to cover

Dinosaur Jr ... J Mascis is an under rated performer .. alot of todays bands owe these guys big

Bob Mould .. the guy is a god .. funny you posted this today ..my wife and i are going to see him tonight in NYC at a wine shop in soho .. small venue so should be great. Loved Husker Du and Sugar.

Ok ... some new ones I was jamming out to this morning ...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CkXhtw7UNk ( Buraka Som Sistema .. Sound of Kuduro )

in honor of Buraka and the 'I have no idea what they are saying' theme:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tt1IF9QOIZw - Control Machete 'Si Senor' - used in a Spike Jonze Levi Commecial a few years back

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfNamZmzPc0 - Lisa Gerrard 'Aria' - good mood music IMO - from the end of the movie 'Layer Cake' - which everyone needs to watch - excellent flick (plus it features my favorite song 'She Sells Sanctuary' by The Cult)

fwiw - Lisa Gerrard is the one on the Gladiator soundtrack - if you don't know what language she's singing in - dont be surprised - she sings in her own langauge she made up (check wiki)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_4lPT4xgCI - Sigur Ros 'Festival' - used the last 1/2 of this in the movie 127 Hours for the climax when he gets out - like Lisa - signing in a made up language (skip to 4:39 for the music used in the movie)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLFd6k1BHDk - Mogwai 'Auto Rock' (no vocals) - from the end of the Miami Vice movie

one more for fun Very Happy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ejsM0VF-Os - A Perfect Circle 'Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rythm of the War Drums'

Absolutely love Sigur Ros. Along with Radiohead, probably my favorite band from the last couple decades.

Also, haven't seen 127 Hours yet, but I remember the story of when it happened. Looking forward to seeing the movie. The previews look fantastic! Great soundtrack.

A little while ago I mentioned that 80s Glam was making a comeback...

Anyone notice Pyschedelic music is also becoming a popular style again? Between Cage The Elephant the Black Keys and this song I just heard today, also on 89 X, sweet song and the video has 67 Million views already.

Just had to add this song as well from Sixx AM's Heroin Diaries. The words are so poignant in regards to a heroin addict's issues as evidenced by the first verse:

She speaks to me in Persian
Tells me that she loves me
The girl with golden eyes
And though I hardly know her
I let her in my veins
And trust her with my life

I wish I had never kissed her
'Cause I just can't resist her
The girl with golden eyes
Every time she whispers
'Take me in your arms
The way you did last night.'

been busy - haven;t had a chance to listen to much - but quickly since Mr Blue Sky seems to be the 'go to' montage song recently, replacing this one:

plus a few more oldies but goodies
