Speaking with other managers, it has become apparent that many have never experienced the joy of starting in a newly opened arena (that is not a specialty arena like no-tourney). So with that in mind . . .
Would anyone be interested in a new Basic arena (regular speed)? This is not a "special" arena per se apart from the fact that it will begin on Turn 1.
If interested, just say yes and I'll add you to the petition. If we get 20+ teams, I will submit it to Lee for consideration.

Absolutely.
I'd commit to this right off and would commit to any amount of turns remaining active as stipulated by RSI.
Always wanted to start an arena off on turn 1 and never had a chance at a time when I was solvent enough to do it.
So put me down as a Hell Yes! |

I am in. Only turn 1 I ever made was Vithicar (49) and remember what fun that was .. different era but it will still be special.
Like Dark , I will commit to any minimum turn requirement that RSI imposes. |

Count me in too! I'd even come in with all of these pros that have committed themselves to the list AND I would even run one of the 2 new team roll ups I got. That's how much I'd like it.
As for Mr. Consortium Really only 6th or 7th  In best Consortium posting fashion, "We would have said you were in for at least 10-12." |

The Colosseum pre-dates the Consortium (we think). Why should you be surprised a few DM arenas opened before he could get his foot in the door?  |

Money issues keep me from join this, but it also gave me an idea.
How about it being a Reset Arena. What I mean by reset is that the arena runs for 50 turns then the arena is temporarily closes and all teams transferred out. Then 1 month later the arena restarts on turn 1 with all new teams. That way every 2 years you have a new arena starting from turn 1. |

If you do this, I might suggest you coincide it to time with a demo tourney so that you also start with a bunch of newbies. Yeah I know, the demo tourney guys will all have FE, but you guys will be vets... |

I would be all over this. I have always wanted to start on turn 1... and I have been looking for a basic arena to play in.
There is a demo tourney running on Presidents' Day weekend too. |
