Already got it on my mp3 player from itunes. Can hardly wait for the whole album to come out! Glad I finally got to see Myles live (with Alterbridge) last summer, it would be crazy to see him with Slash, though!

Alter Bridge is Mark Tremonti's venture after Creed. Good to see a local Detroit boy make good!
Here's a couple off of Blackbird that I really like; strange because I've been listening to Heavier music lately but when it comes to Alter Bridge I prefer the ballads!

Also wanted to say, without jacking my own thread, hope Jerry Gaskill of King's X makes a full recovery. He apparently had a heart attack about a week ago. 3 of my faves from them, great Prog rockers!

Nice links, Street! King's X is one of my favorite all-time bands! For power trios I think they're right up there with Rush or anybody else, they never got the credit they deserved! Hope Jerry's all right. Couple of my faves:
Dogman (we covered the title track in one of my bands), Ear Candy, and Tapehead were the best albums, IMO. But there are tons of great songs all over the others, too!
I got the album Slash put out last year, it's pretty good (except that one song with fergie eeewww, he shoulda used Ann Wilson for that one)

You don't think the Fergie tune was good?!?? She freaking BELTED on that song. Look up the cover she did of Heart's Barracuda! Instrumentally they massacre it but she can sing rock when she wants to. Out of all the singers he had guesting on that album, it was definitely not my least favorite. Iggy Pop or the guy from Wolf Mother maybe...The new CD is gonna be just Myles singing on all of it.

Interesting since my 3 favorite albums are Faith, Hope, Love ; King's X; and Dogman. I preferred the earlier stuff and you the middle! Goldilox would've been the 4th song on my list! The cover they did of Manic Depression on Dogman was so Suh-WEEEEET!
King's X- Manic Depression (Live- from the Dogman album)
And to extrapolate on that direction everyone, that's EVERYONE, MUST check this Hendrix cover by 3 of the most unique and masterful Guitarists to ever pick up the Git-fiddle!
G3 (Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen; Vai on vocals) covering Little Wing

Nope. She just doesn't suit my taste, voice grates on me. I did, however, like the Iggy Pop song. Not that I'm a fan or anything, but the song was cool. To each his own, I guess. My favorite song on the album was Starlight.

I'm quite familiar with that one already... they do a nice Red House too (Satch, Vai, Johnson). I'm still kicking myself over last year, there was an "Experience Hendrix" concert here, with Satriani, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Buddy Guy, and the surviving members of the Experience. I went to get tickets the day after they went on sale, and they were sold out.
