Gobble!Gobble! That wasn't a Turkey that was my prediction for the Lions ruining yet another of my Thanksgivings! I still remember the 1980 Game, which I wish I could forget. Following is the synopsis of what happened to crush a young (9 years old) Street Legal's Thanksgiving:
1980 - QB Vince Evans scored on the last play of the game, and KR David Williams returned the overtime period's opening kickoff for a 95-yard touchdown as Chicago stunned Detroit, 23-17. The game, at the time, was the shortest OT (21 seconds) in NFL history.
From ready to celebrate a win to OK it's OT maybe we'll get this, lost the coin toss(?), no problem we can still wi..... wai....... tackle hiiiii....... aw crap! I think I cried over that one and did not enjoy dinner (if I even ate at all)!
That said Happy Thanksgiving to all!
And thanks for letting me share.

Happy Turkey Day to all, hope nobody has to work, God help you if you're in retail...
Street, I remember a Thanksgiving game in '95 I think when Scott Mitchell beat Warren Moon and my Vikes in a shootout. I remember watching it in a hotel with my band, which was on the road at the time.
Best memory I have though is the '87 Vikes-Cowboys game that Darrin Nelson won for the Purple with an O.T. touchdown run, 44-38, the only time he ever spiked the ball in his career! I was happy that day!! Not far behind is the '98 Vikes putting it to the Cowgirls again with Moss and crew. All those were exciting, big scoring games.
