9-11-15-15-9-3-8

Another difficult one: 11-11-15-21-9-4-13 something.... PR? I'd love to go for the 15WL, but I can't do that AND have a 21WT, 11DF.

If you're thinking PR I'd leave the SP at 3, only getting a DEC skill anyways, and put it in ST or more likely CN.

My first instinct is to go ST but relatively low in DEC without putting the last 5 in SP and though not a killer I usually like those 11 CN points to be elsewhere.

9-11-15-15-9-3-8 -----> 9-11-15-21-9-8-11 ST (7 ATT/9 DEC damage breakpoint appears to be 10 for -R+)

That makes me look at BA next but it'll either be slow with ST, faster with QS only suited weapon (11ST), or 9 DF.

9-11-15-15-9-3-8 -----> 11-11-15-21-9-6-11 BA (11 ATT/8 DEC) use QS or MA or WH slightly unsuited

Could also consider maximizing it by not taking a 21 WT and going LU/SL/PL

9-11-15-15-9-3-8 -----> 11-11-15-17-15-4-11 LU/SL/PL (11/4/12/1/5/6 as a LU...not bad) Although one would always try and get a 21 WT/WL/or DF if you can sometimes you can just pretend it didn't start with a 15 in the WT slot to make yourself feel better for not taking it! With -R+ damage and a reasonable shot at good endurance I wouldn't feel totally sacrilegious for making this guy.

Could also go LU and give up the 11 DF for a 21 WT/15 WL

9-11-15-15-9-3-8 -----> 9-11-15-21-15-4-9 LU (13/5/12/-1/5/7) with the WT you'll quickly overcome any shortages in DEC or DEF, you have a shot to see INI and ATT bonuses as well, and you can train ST up and/or just stick to SS or SH suited, LS slightly unsuited, and maybe LO dual slightly unsuited against 13+ armor.

Yeah, I just did that for the coordination... I suppose it'd be better to go 3/14 now that I think about it, for the extra rip skill.

I like your numbers and I would probably go PS or TP. Might leave the SP/DF at 3/11 for TP and put those 3 pts on CN but probably not. TP is my first choice

I would give up the dream of a parry riposte and make the 9-11-15-15-9-3-8
into a 15-11-15-15-15-5-8 Basher. Raise the constitution twice to improve hit points and endurance. Give him a warhammer or a mace. If you get a wall of steel or total parry in plate, he is well suited to a maul.

If you prefer the coordination this sounds like the better choice for a PR.

I would probably try 10-11-15-21-15-3-9 LU, myself.

Longshot, I love the idea of a basher, but regardless of design, you almost never what to pass up on 21 wit on any warrior.

This guy is almost certainly going to be arena only. His base skills aren't going to be where they need to be for a high quality tourney offensive of hybrid.

So for me: 11-11-15-21-9-6-11 B would be the first choice.

I'm actually surprised nobody has suggested a burner/buster. This guy is one point short of 21-15-x-11. The guys that are 1-3 points short of something cool are the guys you want to consider as burners. 11-11-15-20-14-3-10 is the design I'd choose, but there are several good burn type designs. Several reasonable style choices here.

I don't make PRs with less than a 17/17 WT/DF

I'm pretty sure the best PR, short of the Daydream Believer designs (forgot what he looked like exactly), was a 21 WT 7 WL 11 DF. Also pretty sure it TC'd at least once it was Manray's Double Blind Bat from arena 18.

DDB was X-X-X-17-7-X-17

That is right. You guys told me that when I first joined. I just saw a cool basher and thought to go for it. I think I really need to remember that tip. Thanks for reminding me.

I know, and have since found the numbers for, Daydream to be a SZ 4 whereas Double-Blind Bat was SZ 7; trade 21 WT 11 DF for DBB for 17 WT 17 DF for DDB and they were pretty close. (Could not find DBB's #'s but I do believe Manray posted them in a NL).

The guys at the FtF, especially if Mannequin is there, need to have a battle between DDB and DBB run; take them as created and have them cloned and run in a rookies grudge match. These (counting Jumping Jack Flash as Daydream as he's a clone I think) are probably the 2 best PRs to come around in the last decade if not ever; my knowledge of prior to 2000 is minimal if there were better only one I know of being unbeatable PRs was Village Idiot of Tobir(14).

PS- Didn't mean to threadjack but as long as I did BR6 should be ready for it's once every 2-3 year run, since the TxxS (shall not be mentioned by name so as not to induce the wrath of Sue Rolling Eyes ) is likely DEAD , we should build the hype to make it as BIG as it once was in the first 3 or 4 (last one had minimal participation, not to detract from Manager's second BR victory as it was hard fought and deserved)!
