5-14-10-15-13-4-9 - Sacrifice the 21 WT?!?!?!?!

Been thinking of committing a cardinal sin by making this one a 17/17 and actually having a choice of weapons. Any thoughts appreciated.

5-14-10-15-13-4-9 -> 11-14-10-17-17-4-11 LU/SL/WS?

I would add PL to your style options, with those numbers it should be a very solid winning arena warrior for you.

If you're willing to sacrifice the 17 WL, you can still get a 21 WTer that has some options.

9-14-10-21-15-4-11 still looks pretty good to me with a lot of style choices!

If I were to go PL I would go: 7-14-10-21-17-4-11

Bump to 9 STR for SC/Damage etc..

I like this design as a LU and maybe a PL. Not enough SP in my book for a SL, then again I suck with SLs. You can go SH or SS against light armor as a LU, and LO unsuited until you get 11 ST. Can use the SC as a PL along with the LU weapons I mentioned.

My opinion and advice: Slashers do not need speed. I have graduated many with 3 and 4 speed, with great records. I currently have one who just got knocked off the DM spot after 6 straight turns as DM, he has a 3 speed and a record of 14-3-0. He first became DM at 8-0-0. I will add that my low speed SL's usually have a high DF as well.

Like I said I suck with SLs. Maybe I should pick your brain!

This guy is 11-12-1 in a fairly easy arena:

He is a slasher with ST=12(2) CN=8 SZ=16 WT=17 WL=18(2) SP=6 DF=11 norm/good +4 INI +2/4 RIP +1 ATT +1/2 DEF

That's why I have some apprehension with low SP/DEC SLs I guess.

When we get to considering that choice, we always go with the 21 WT or make a burner.
7-14-10-21-17-4-11 LU/PL/ST/PS (fave = PL)
or
10-14-10-20-16-4-10 LU/PL/PR/PS/SL/ST/WS (fave = WS)

I pretty much would use it as a traditional design, and I typically don't bother going for the 11 dft so that you can get a little more physicality.

5 14 10 15 13 4 9 >>> 9 14 10 21 17 4 9 LU

I'd start with SS and as the warrior develops I'd try LO lacking stats.
