We just arrived and Mannequin called from the AP and will soon be on a shuttle here. Based on chatzy, we suspect there are already quite a few others here.

Rooms are as usual and getting quite dated/worn.

We are in a downstairs ballroom (B) this year which is supposedly bigger, but not as close to lobby/restrooms/etc as before.

Perhaps others will report in - if anything exciting happens.

It's cool to hear about you guys. Can someone tell Mannequin to please check his e-mail if possible? I forgot to send my alternate strategies to him. They are in his e-mail now.

Pretty big from what we usually get. Fewer outlets it seems.

I hope he knows I am joking.

Some thoughts .......

Another well-run tournament by RSI (well done, gals)
The larger room was terrific for unencumbered DM activity. (a plus)
Great turnout - 30+
A reasonable mix of those in the final chairs.
Congrats to the first-time winner. (read about it separately)
BOB won the grudge match against The World on a technicality (score 3-3)
What??!! The Deeders clan and the KC clan are now colluding together?
Congrats to Deeders for winning Crapmaster. You join some real pros in the Crapmaster Champion Clubhouse.
THANK YOU to all who signed, sent me the congrats card. Wow!
I was surprised and humbled. And the gift! A rollup. Just what I needed.
The visit to Book Maze was really enjoyable. (And I picked up my free book
from the Primus event prize.
Consortiumites did ok with 5 awards of 48 entrants and 57% w/l.
Do not like many of the changes the Embassy made this past year - far less efficient and a lousy restaurant. (If you can call it that.) Miss Garcia's.
And, mostly,it was so neat to see so many friends again, as the FTFs continue to become a social event along with fierce competition.

If you have never attended, and you love your DM, you OWE IT TO YOURSELF to attend.
