RSI Power Issues

From Lee today:

"We lost power and phones and server all at once. The first two are resolved and I'm working on the last. Unfortunately, all the different steps take a long time so it's taking a while, but we'll get there. Hopefully another day or so and we'll be up. (Lee) "

Pardon my ignorance, is it to be assumed no turns are being processed while the power issues are being dealt with? Reason, no turn for solven today and no newsletters have been updated for a week.

That would be correct. Lee did say that our first sign that things are starting to get back to normal will be updated NLs online

Only update is that it is taking Lee longer to get it fixed than expected.

I think it would be reasonable to push back the april tourney for 2 weeks. Since it appears RSI might be down for a full 2 weeks. So those of us timing for the tourney will have that 1 turn back.

Yeah, I used to play this game in the late 80s/early 90s, and after discovering (to my shock and delight) that it still existed, I got the bug to jump back in. Requested rollups through the web form and email to no avail, but am chalking up the non-response to these techie issues. So if I was patient enough to wait 25 years to re-test the arena sands, I certainly should be patient enough to wait a few more days/weeks, right? Right?

It is not posted openly, but do not use the any email address to rsi unless it is address directly to lee or sandy. I normally send to both. Whatever their csr address is, replace the csr with lee or sandy.

Regarding sending e-mails to RSI, does this include personal ads and team spotlight. So, instead of sending them to ads@reality.com, send them to Lee and/or Sandy?

It hasn't been that long on the e-mail so I won't follow up for awhile, but I did send to sandy@reality.com since I spotted that on another thread here. Maybe they'll get here on Saturday, because as Sir Elton of John always used to say, "Saturday night's alright for fighting".
