TEAM SPOTLIGHT
FIRST VIEW FROM THE TOP
Lady Mandalorian could feel her blood throbbing through her veins as she strode
confidently across the Kaltos Arena Sands to meet her opponent, as she drank in the
delirious cheers of the crowd.
She could hear the chants of "Xenia! Xenia!" mingled with the chants of "Lady
Mandalorian! Lady Mandalorian!" as they met in the center of the arena.
Both gladiators bowed to the enthusiastic crowd and Lady Mandalorian swelled with
even-more-greater confidence, as she saw her Veteran Manager give her his familiar
'Thumbs Up!' from his usual private box near the center of the arena stands.
Xenia had issued the Challenge to Lady Mandalorian, her last Basic Arena Sand-Battle,
before graduating from Kaltos Arena, but what was peculiar, was that instead of
wearing Plate Armor, as she had worn previously in her victory over Lady Mandalorian,
the Piker was now wearing RingMail Armor!
Perhaps this was a sign from The Father God that Lady Mandalorian might prevail to
claim the DM 5 Throne!
Sign or no sign, the Ripper burst with confidence in the First Minute of Battle, as
she twisted her ShortSword into a tremendous, savage, cutting attack!
Xenia deflected the blow with her LongSword, but Lady Mandalorian twisted her
ShortSword around the parry!
The Reigning DuelMistress was shocked by the sudden move, fighting with Desperation,
at the result of being Sorely Wounded in her Stomach!
Xenia could no longer keep fighting!
The Crowd Cheered Its Praises!
Lady Mandalorian had finally made it to the Top of the Kaltos Arena Gladiator
Standings!
In the midst of the roaring of the crowd, she could hear her Veteran Manager give
voice to His Historic Advice:

Notes from the arena champ.
It has been an extremely drawn-out process, but I finally made it to the Top of the
Kaltos Arena DM Throne!
Now I Must Concentrate on Staying Alive to Graduate!
Looks like I will be facing Xaviera Adams of The Middle Way 5, because Hammer still
will not issue any Challenges or Avoids to the Kaltos Arena Gladiatorial Commission!
I am actually glad that Hammer is trusting in The Father God in regards to my
Graduation!
I was surprised that Xenia was wearing RingMail Armor, instead of that Plate Armor,
for the Final Challenge of her Basic Arena Career!
But, that decision proved to be a Blessing from The Father God, as I managed to twist
my ShortSword around her parry to give her a Stomach Wound for My Victory!
I not only Thank The Father God and Hammer my manager, of course, but I also Thank All
the Foes and Friendly Foes who crossed blades with me during My Journey to the Top!
It has been worth every thing that I have gone through to make it Here to the Top of
the Kaltos Arena Standings!

SPY REPORT
Greetings, Warriors of KALTOS. Allow this humble servant Novgorodny Vir to give
you a respite from the fights in the form of this Spyreport. He who laughs last
didn't get the joke. Speaking of laughing at jokes, observe BLACK BULLDOGS. Last
week they got 1-3-0 to drop by 6! Nothing works for a team like victory (How's that
for a perceptive observation?) as CARNIVAL OF BLOOD can attest... Practice pays for
FORAY, who pummelled EMBEZZLING SCRIBE, to pocket 16 points. Win some, lose some.
Speaking of which, RUNAWAY PONY was winsome, after beating KYLER and seeing it lose
10 points. Those who hoped for a new Duelmaster were disappointed by XAVIERA ADAMS,
of THE MIDDLE WAY 5, who despite a 16-42-0 couldn't overcome KALTOS' Number 1. So
who was the warrior seen charging into immovable walls and challenging dead trees?
Someone's got a basic problem...
My mother wished me to avoid conflict, and seek the gentle trade of Spyreporter.
But warriors aren't supposed to avoid fights!
Is there life after death? Pragmatics (and warriors) know there is death after
life! Ask not a spymaster for counsel, for he will pontificate long after you have
fallen into an unconscious stupor.
All good things must come to an end. Keep those sands bloody and the buzzards
fat! Like a mixed metaphor, and an overtaxed simile, I now bid KALTOS farewell--
