                             Notes from the arena champ.

Oh, the advantages of an arena with only ten active warriors, five of them being Black 
Bulldogs. Makes it pretty easy to garner six arena awards (again). It's not so bad 
being a big fish in a little pond, especially if it means we are fighting on The 
Commission's gold pieces.

So, my opponent last turn gave me a good fi....What's that? A stand-in? Okay, never 
mind. They will probably send another one my way since the only active warriors within 
range of a challenge are my own teammates.  I won't be writing next turn's column, 
because I will be on my way to The Isle of the Eye. The Lady Greywand has seen fit to 
invite me to join her esteemed corps of gladiators, so off I go. I am guessing there 
will be another Black Bulldog on the throne. Just a guess.

So, last turn before the Grand Tournament? Who is going from Kaltos? Is that why we 
see those inactive markers next to your names?  Isos is only sending one live warrior, 
one dead warrior, and one Primus warrior. Maybe we'll get a tourney battle report in a 
couple turns.

                                      SPY REPORT

     It is I, Novgorodny Vir, Spymaster of Spymasters.  Look on my work, ye mighty, 
and despair!  BLACK BULLDOGS had cause to celebrate, after PARTA LYNESIA got 15 
points by beating EMBEZZLING SCRIBE.  Win some, lose some.  Speaking of which, KING 
OF GODS was winsome, after beating ANDRAS and seeing him lose 9 points.  BLACK RAPTOR 
successfully staved off a grab for the roses by VENOMOUS CONCUBINE of KALTOS.  Does 
KALTOS have no one talented enough to dethrone him?  Word has it one team in KALTOS 
is taking speech lessons to try to bore their opponent to death.  I'll bet it works.  
     My mother wished me to avoid conflict, and seek the gentle trade of Spyreporter. 
But warriors aren't supposed to avoid fights!  To quell some nasty rumors, the guys 
in HOWLIN VITAMINS 3 are not carrying any incurable diseases.  No need to avoid 'em.  
The warriors of HOWLIN VITAMINS 3 found their efforts at combat frustrated as BLACK 
BULLDOGS apparently had more important things to do than fight.   
     Ah, the duel!  The roar of the oppenent, the smell of the crowd!  Oh hard!  that 
to strike a flame, the match itself must needs be wasting!   
     All good things must come to an end.  As if buffeted by forces of nature beyond 
my control, I must take my leave of this place.  Can anything compare to the pleasure
