DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Well, I didn't expect to be here. Just goes to show you that if you always swing for
the fences, you'll occasionally hit one out of the park. Neon has a way of being
brutal with us, so we learn not to displease him. Sometimes that means exceeding
expectations. Like those times during the contest he sent me to fight at night. I knew
what was at stake, so I "convinced" him I deserved to live. Georgia Peach has been
doing the same thing, but THREE times in a row. Hell, half of our team's ten kills
came in the Dark Arena. Neon knows how to instill the proper motivation.
How many of you know who I am named after? He was a plucky little player, and I liked
his spunk, how he didn't take crap from anyone. Like that time in the playoffs that a
pitcher aimed for his feet because Campy was a fast base-stealer. He reacted instantly
and threw his bat at the pitcher, charging the mound. He sent his message. (And it
didn't really cost him; he still got to play in the World Series.) Check it out.

SPY REPORT
Well, what are you looking at, KOLACT? Ain't you never seen Snide Clemens
before? Ah, shaddup and listen to my news. If this keeps up, RIPPERS, you'll have
to shine swords instead of use them. A drop of 4 in the rankings? COVEY II turned
their 2-0-0 turn into a 3rd place rank in the listings this turn. Any better than
this, and you get put on hit lists. Of course, we're all terribly impressed to see
DIRTY SOCKS win a fight and gain 23 points, terribly. Tsk, tsk, BOLD SAVIOR beat
TESYDA and TESYDA lost 11 points. You're breakin' my heart. Looks like KOLACT has
some guts at least, CAMPY the Duelmaster was this turn's most-challenged warrior.
VALERIA VINDEX challenged KOLACT's Duelmaster for a shot at the throne. And if
variety is the spice of life, KOLACT may be getting bland, as CAMPY stays top dog in
the city. I'm not in a very good mood today, but why am I telling you this? You
want to know what's new, don't you, KOLACT?
He who fights and runs away will live to fight another day, the coward. What's
the big D? WAR HAWKS was the most avoided team? Bunch of lily livered... grumble...
mumble... curse... And it looks like KON avoided them the most this turn. What a
pack of would be losers, if you ask me. Hmph.
Ah, now we come to my favorite part, where we see all the guys who are dead and
gone, and get to see if their team cared. Gee, WAR HAWKS, ain't it past due for
sending ORTHOS Dark Arena? What took ol' '7-8-0' so long? Hope? Ha ha aha ha!
We're all going to die in the end, so why worry if the fate catches up with you
sooner that later?
What does the KOLACT arena have in common with the inns? It's just as
comfortable to sleep in either place. Ha ha ha ha! Just wait 'till next time I show
up here, I won't be so nice! So nyaaah! Glad to see the back of this place-- Snide
