                             Notes from the arena champ.

It's a good thing Nephinae Luna's weapons are made out of balsa wood. I may not have 
won if they didn't all break. Well struck, Nephinae. At least the crowd liked the 
show.  Try to find a reputable blacksmith this time.

So, here I am, sitting atop the rankings of one of the most prestigious arenas in the 
history of Alastari. It is, indeed, an honor. I will do my best to defend the honor of 
the throne. Probably against some Wolf Man.

It always makes me wonder what is going on in the minds of the Commissioners that 
compile the arena awards. How do they list an award for a team that didn't even fight, 
isn't even listed in the team rankings? No one has seen hide nor hair of "Feed Us 
Blud" in eons. So, they probably won't be collecting on that free fight.

                                      SPY REPORT

     If you were disturbed from your beauty rest only to have to watch a bunch of 
TALCAMA brutes like you, you'd be grouchy, too.  Later days, WATCHMEN, since 
INANIMATE TOFU took top team from you this turn, you guys are old news.  MAD 
SCIENTISTS turned their 2-1-0 turn into a 4th place rank in the listings this turn.  
Any better than this, and you get put on hit lists.  Gee, I'm impressed, a 4-1-0 is 
nice, but don't get cocky, INANIMATE TOFU, the Fates teach humility, and the Fates 
are proud.  Of course, we're all terribly impressed to see TEMPEH WORSHIP win a fight 
and gain 14 points, terribly.  Tsk, tsk, LADY LIGHTYEAR beat FINEOUS FINGERS and 
FINEOUS FINGERS lost 10 points.  You're breakin' my heart.  And it's out with the 
old, in with the new, as ALLURING takes the Title and last week's bar tab from the 
old Duelmaster.  Heh, heh.  I'm not in a very good mood today, but why am I telling 
you this?  You want to know what's new, don't you, TALCAMA?   
     He who fights and runs away will live to fight another day, the coward.   
     Death and Taxes.  The less death I see, the more it taxes my patience.  Let's 
see if anyone's dead or dying.  We're all going to die in the end, so why worry if 
the fate catches up with you sooner that later?   
     There's got to be a better place in TALCAMA to get a drink than The Original 
Arthur's Last Stand!  Any suggestions?  Phlllt!  Just had to do that before I leave 
the fine city of TALCAMA.  I feel much better now.  Paste this one in your 
scrapbooks, you'll need the kindling come this winter-- Snide Clemens
