SPY REPORT
I love the rough-and-tumble life of Seam! The shadows wear armor, and the tavern
brawls come with betting slips! Never a dull moment! Okay, my lovelies, let's take a
look at what happened on and off the sands for our fair arena.
The cries carried loudest when The Ogre Troll, the Warlords' brute, held onto the
throne. Freya Bearmaw, with all the subtlety of a falling mountain, tried to overthrow
our champion. It did not go as planned, or unplanned, because The Ogre Troll is
already three ales into his celebration at the tavern. The fans will be talking about
this one for weeks! Two weeks to be exact!
The Thirsty Thugs lived true to their names and staggered out of the bars to land some
big hits on their competition. Roger, Rodger beat our departing Lord Protector, The
Ogre Sprite, in a one-minute fight so quick you missed it if you blinked. Psyde carved
up the Virginal Concubine, while Sau Sage put on a show against Kung-Fu Master. A 3-0
put them in 2nd place and earned them another round on the house at the Stoned Golem
Tavern.
As Far Travelers continue to rise, I do not think we can call it a "quiet" ascent any
longer. Mankar and Quang handled their gladiator business with gusto. It wasn't a bad
display for a group of wanderers still learning the local scene. Rumor in the pits
says Darque Knights are not faring as well, and their manager is sharpening more than
blades for next turn's action. When all was said and done, Warlords remained the top
team in Seam. I can't wait to see how this all plays out next week.
Twilight wine after the day's fights is the best, my darlings! The banners are
flapping in the gentle breeze, and the stars are starting to make a beautiful
backdrop. As I watch the arena clear out, I cannot help but wonder who will stand tall
in two weeks. Come back and find out!
