SPY REPORT
Seam, you certainly know how to keep a lady on her toes! Between a stubborn
Duelmaster, a crowded race for team honors, and more funerals than anyone cares to
attend, there's plenty to discuss this turn. I do wish some of you would learn to
settle your differences without killing one another, but I suppose that's asking
rather a lot of gladiators.
Rattlechains of Phantom Regiment remains firmly seated upon the throne after a
thrilling five-minute struggle against Mist Song of Warlords. The Duelmaster emerged
victorious, though the scribes insist luck played a part. Perhaps so, but at 25-15-1,
Rattlechains has earned the right to enjoy a little good fortune. Mist Song,
meanwhile, took both popularity honors. Losing gracefully before an appreciative crowd
is something of an art, I suppose.
Now, the team standings! We have quite the logjam atop the three-turn rankings, with
Able Company, Sand Eaters, and Of Wolf and Man all sitting at identical 10-5-1
records. Able Company claims first place, having climbed from fourth with a fine 4-1
turn. Sand Eaters holds second, while Of Wolf and Man slips to third despite sharing
the same record. Warlords trails just behind at 9-6. One good turn could rearrange the
entire leaderboard, so I expect everyone to be sharpening their blades with particular
enthusiasm!
Amanda continues to shine for Able Company, remaining undefeated at 9-0-2 after
turning aside Ryz Razorhand. She's now the unchartered recognition leader with 90
points. Sand Eaters, meanwhile, retain the top career record at 29-16-2, a splendid
64.4% winning percentage. Darque Knights led the turn's point gains with 46, followed
closely by Sand Eaters with 41.
Memorable contests also unfolded beyond the throne. Terror Blizzard survived a
grueling five-minute challenge against Dagan Kain, while The Mild delivered a
particularly impressive upset over Deemster Dhone, gaining 20 recognition points. Big
Feelings made short work of Varrick Moor, and Sera Starbloom easily dispatched Mad
Petunia.
Unfortunately, the sands were stained with rather too much blood. Hold Mybeer of Six
Pints Deep killed Warlords' Mace Face in a challenge, ending the veteran's career at
15-9. Everit Void of Of Wolf and Man also claimed a life, narrowly defeating 3XL of
Riff's Big & Tall. On a more satisfying note, Dev Dawnleaf successfully avenged fallen
teammate Laris Moonsong by defeating Design8d Fighter in a bloodfeud. Justice does not
always require another grave, thankfully!
The Dark Arena was especially busy, claiming eight unfortunate souls. Among them were
Lord Mann Cregbal and Sheading Cpt of I-1/25 Manx Corps, along with three members of
Thirsty Thugs. Such dreadful housekeeping! Surely there's a more economical way to
manage one's roster. As for arena politics, I-1/25 Manx Corps received the most
avoids, with Devil Dinosaurs leading the charge. Dorrin Pike attracted the most
challenges, though Death Knell made certain at least one of those invitations ended
painfully.
That's all from Seam, my dearies. With so many ambitious warriors crowding the
rankings, I suspect our next gathering will be anything but dull. Until then, fight
bravely and remember that a victory is always sweeter when both warriors live to tell
the tale!
