before? Ah, shaddup and listen to my news. Now keep the taverns open late tonight,
for there are sorrows to drown for THE OOZE ZONE, whose 1-4-0 this turn dropped them
by 5 into 10th. Ha! SEA SHANTIES turned their 3-1-0 turn into a 3rd place rank in
the listings this turn. Any better than this, and you get put on hit lists. Now
let's all watch KENDER INVASION's heads swell from their 3-0-2 this turn. Haa ha ha
ha! Big shots, big talk, big deal. Of course, we're all terribly impressed to see
TARLI THISHEKNOW win a fight and gain 21 points, terribly. Tsk, tsk, HORST BAGGE
beat DARK SPLIT and DARK SPLIT lost 13 points. You're breakin' my heart. KNOF
MOONWILLOW Dark Arena Challenged BLACK ORC for SUNSET's Title this turn, and guess
what happened? And if variety is the spice of life, SUNSET may be getting bland, as
KNOF MOONWILLOW stays top dog in the city. Kickbacks and bribes, kickbacks and
bribes, how else do you think some of these guys win their fights? Skill? Ha!
He who fights and runs away will live to fight another day, the coward. SUNSET,
I am losing what little hope I had in you. BIG LAKE TERROR the most avoided team?
What insult will suffice, I cannot say. And who led the way in this mass act of
cowardice? Let's see, well, whatcha know? It was NOMADIC TRIBE. Ha ha ha ha! STAR
DUMB was challenged more times this turn than the Duelmaster. Now was the DM
insulted or feared? Heh, heh. Now look at this. DARK EMPATHY challenged down 17
against RAT PAK's RONIN-RAT. What a weasel! Question now is, will SUNSET accept
this sort of tacky behavior? DARK EMPATHY beating RONIN-RAT. The insult,
the....yech! I suspect either a 21 will or a 21 ego on this one, but PHLEM has
challenged up by 29 in an attempt against AJANTI DAGGER. Not that I'm surprised or
anything, but PHLEM was overcame by AJANTI DAGGER, leaving the latter lower for
recognition points. And we have GUTPILE in a challenge, going down 10 points for the
fight. Guess what? I thought GUTPILE showed great skill and promise when he
defeated INFIDELITY. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
Ah, now we come to my favorite part, where we see all the guys who are dead and
gone, and get to see if their team cared. KENDER INVASION has cause to pause today,
as KNOF MOONWILLOW was sent to the Dark Arena, and came back--though not in the best
of moods, I'll wager. I could say I saw this coming, but so could anyone else.
Anyway, this turn it came. POSSESSED WIFE's 10-6-1 has earned her the Dark Arena.
And what a stunning loss we have here, boys and girls, XANADU of THE ALLIANCE has
added the final loss to hers 5-4-0. Tee hee! Honor is like a chainmail shirt, it
only shines through use. Certain nameless cowards will doubtless rebuke me on this
one.
I was about to buy a new quill pen the other day, but some fighter took it for
