If you were disturbed from your beauty rest only to have to watch a bunch of
SOLVEN brutes like you, you'd be grouchy, too. Now keep the taverns open late
tonight, for there are sorrows to drown for GRAD STUDENTS, whose 0-1-0 this turn
dropped them by 4 into 9th. Ha! Of course, we're all terribly impressed to see DARK
ARTS win a fight and gain 21 points, terribly. Tsk, tsk, VLAD beat SECRET and SECRET
lost 13 points. You're breakin' my heart. Due to absence, and inability to defend
the throne, MU QI has lost the Title of Duelmaster. Start setting that alarm
earlier! And it's out with the old, in with the new, as CEDARBURN takes the Title
and last week's bar tab from the old Duelmaster. Heh, heh. Kickbacks and bribes,
kickbacks and bribes, how else do you think some of these guys win their fights?
Skill? Ha!
My mother always told me, 'If you don't have anything nice to say, start
talking.' I loved that woman. What's the big D? SNOT QUITE RIGHT was the most
avoided team? Bunch of lily livered... grumble... mumble... curse... And who led
the way in this mass act of cowardice? Let's see, well, whatcha know? It was THE
REPUBLICANS. Ha ha ha ha! And we have DUNCAN HUNTER in a challenge, going down 8
points for the fight. Guess what? I thought DUNCAN HUNTER showed great skill and
promise when he won victory over WILLOW REAVER. All right, so I slept through it!

Ah, now we come to my favorite part, where we see all the guys who are dead and
gone, and get to see if their team cared. Not that I'll be buying the drinks, but
I'll be glad to see BLACKBURN and THE REPUBLICANS at The Victory Tavern tonight
celebrating their bloodfeud victory over COMBOT. Honor is like a chainmail shirt, it
only shines through use. Certain nameless cowards will doubtless rebuke me on this
one.
There's got to be a better place in SOLVEN to get a drink than The Victory
Tavern! Any suggestions? Well, I've had enough of this drivel, and I'm sure you
