Fellow Whooplanesians! <haha> All around the bonfire!
On one hand, I'd kept low expectations, expecting the silence that's more common among
opponents. On the other hand, receiving no curious diplos, no birthday wishes, no
RSVPs to my invitation to a shared world, I'm feeling free to imagine as I please,
unconstrained by others' ideas, biases, or notions. (And on the third hand, I'd kept a
sharp longknife.)
Glad to be "here" and away from AI slop, with fellow humans! My open invitation
stands! Whenever or whatever you might feel to imagine too.
Role-ing into character in Woodvale Falls: I'm a branch, one of many spread across the
forest canopy...

true to no Dark Ways, releasing from too-long held loyalties to unworthy furies around
and beneath, holding up above the Darcwud below full of a feast of creatures, stories,
fabulous tales, guests, misadventures, agendas, factions, interests, appetites,
devourings, splinterings, consuming fires, ambitions, desires...

"I dare you to go in there!" bigboy Bobinge said in a harsh whisper, looking wide-eyed
and wide-smiled at the smaller boy who was peeking around the shrub at the cave
entrance.
"Ladies first!" Tyug said in a voice that was soft but clear, smirking back with
arched eyebrows. "The ogre loves ladies, for lunch!" He stuck out his tongue and ran
away laughing, careful to keep the shrub between him and the cave mouth.
"Chicken!" Bo called hoarsely after him, but then noticed what Ty already had: the
birds in the trees around had stopped singing. He broke into a panicked run to catch
up, kicking up dust, betraying his presence and carelessly exposing himself to the
cave's line of sight. So he, too, could have seen the cave if he had looked back over
his shoulder, but he didn't.
So Bo didn't see the thick, calloused hand reach up out into the light and grip the
top ridge of the cave mouth. He didn't see the huge, warty forearm just below and
inside the hungry shadows.

SPY REPORT
Hail and well met, Lapurian fight fans, this week we honor Drop the Soap, he is the
8th invitee of the year. Wait a minute--he can't even show up. I guess Vlad had other
plans this week. Anyways, he is finishing his run with 19 wins and has sat on the
throne for 2 turns. All Hail Lord Protector Drop the Soap! Wonder what is next from
Vlad and his warrior naming humor? Loofa ona Stick? Now on to this week's arena action
from the warriors that showed up.
We are up to 16 teams in the ranks with the new guild LIBATIONS 6, welcome to Lapur.
We also had 6 guilds taking a powder this week. From the active teams we have 20
fights on the commission list, with 1 fight by torchlight, 6 challenges and 13
matchups of which 6 are against stand-ins. The one death came from the new guild
eliminating slime number 5. We salute your sacrifice. With Brine a no-show this week,
we will have a new Duelmaster and the match for the title came down to STONE HINGE of
BLACK KELTS fighting ERRATIC EDUCATOR of ARMY OF DARKNESS, with Purple Sage's ancient
warrior losing in a 1 minute match against Master Beru's unbalanced warrior. All Hail
the new Duelmaster!
In team news, Poke and his POKE' MON crew impressed with a 4-1-0 to take over the top
spot. Moving from 4th to 2nd is Visionist and his MID EARTH bunch, who also had a 4-1-
0 week. Leaping from 7th to 3rd is the legendary Neon Necromancer and his NEON VELVET
warriors, who have continued their undefeated return with a 3-0-0 result. The Team on
the Move is newcomer LIBATIONS 6, who managed a 4-1-0 and gained an impressive 68
points. The Most Avoided team goes to Neon, who received 8 avoids, while Poke and the
Bloke each had 4 avoids.

SNORLAX of POKE' MON challenged SUE CHEF of ARMY OF DARKNESS, with Poke's monster
warrior besting Master Beru's culinary warrior in a exciting 4 minute gruesome duel.
FROSLASS of POKE' MON challenged MAEVE MANIAC of BLACK KELTS, with Poke's fairy
warrior narrowly defeating Purple Sage's fiendish warrior in a 8 minute fight.
LEAFBINGER of WOODVALE FALLS challenged SALAZZLE of POKE' MON, with G's foliage
warrior losing to Poke's lizard warrior in a 2 minute amateur vs veteran brawl.
My "Fight of the Week" PROUDBERRY of WOODVALE FALLS challenged LOPUNNY of POKE' MON,
with G's pompous warrior being overpowered by Poke's creatural warrior in a 5 minute
match. Well fought to you both!
STALKER GREMLIN of WOODVALE FALLS challenged RED VELVET of NEON VELVET, with G's
impish warrior being bested by Neon's velour warrior in a 2 minute duel.
LECHBUG of WOODVALE FALLS challenged POPPY POPPINS of BLACK KELTS, with G's insect
warrior defeating Purple Sage's hypnotic warrior in a 2 minute struggle.
Other arena notes...
This week's favorite is SUE CHEF, who was made famous by SNORLAX.
The most popular style was A TRIO: Bashing, Lunging and Aimed Blow, the most
successful could be several styles, but in my opinion it is Lunging and the least
successful Pikers.
