Notes from the arena champ.
Thanks for attending this press conference! We at Arcane Pharmacy appreciate your
being here.
We wanted to take a few minutes to make clear our connection to the pharmaceutical
industry. We realize that in Alastari, there aren't commercials that introduce the
different medicinal procedures the doctors and clerics use when you go to them to be
healed.
We know there has been recent consternation over the price of healing -- and the lack
of transparency in that industry. More importantly, the tendency of the public to
resort to violence as a means to express their dissatisfaction over this and other
matters dealing with healthcare prompted our decision to make a statement. Your
concerns are shared by Arcane Pharmacy, from the lowest weapons handler all the way up
to Destitute Noble himself.
Though I and the rest of my comrades take our names from current pharmaceutical
concoctions, we do NOT partake in any profits of the industry, nor have any
affiliation with it, apart from the advertisements you see on our armor, weapons,
merchandise, and guildhouse.
We realize there may be some "corporate jealousy" from other guilds right now driving
some of this sentiment against the pharmaceutical industry DIRECTLY TO SQUASH OUR
FANDOM! As participants in this very competitive space we understand the want to take
any competitive advantage" against fellow guilds -- but we wanted to warn our fellow
teams that demonizing one guild due to their theme is not very sporting.
Finally -- whether you be in another guild, or an arena attendee or whomever--if you
approach with malice we are prepared to defend ourselves and we travel in packs. There
will be no "low hanging fruit" amongst our brethren so our advice is not to try. In
case you haven't noticed, we are ridin' high right now so best to stop the hatin' and
jump onboard for the greatest ride of your life!

SPY REPORT
It's me, The Unknown Spymaster, back to give you this week's Spy Report. Sit
back in your seats and we'll have more fun than a barrel of Zontanis. It was a tough
week for BLACK KELTS, to drop 5 places in the rankings. Coming up with a solid 3-2-0
outing, POKE' MON has advanced 4 places in the rankings. ALMOST EXACTLY is no joke
as it posted a 3-1-0 week advancing from 7th place to 4th place. Hey everybody,
watch out for PILSNER, who flew up 17 points in the rankings after mashing SUE CHEF
like a melon. Keep your eye on this guy. And falling like a basher in the top ten
was SUE CHEF, who dropped 11 points after a disappointing (to say the least) bout
with PILSNER. Unlike most arenas, TALONCYCLOVIR managed to get his challenge off
against the 15-3-0 FROSLASS. Well, everybody's pal TALONCYCLOVIR moved his record to
15-6-0 by defeating FROSLASS in the Duelmaster's Title Bout and gaining 15
recognition points. Advice to bashers--never force anything, just get a bigger
halberd!
Let's dig a little deeper into what's happening in the LAPUR arena. Did you
hear that POKE' MON was most avoided team this week? Well, knowing the personal
hygiene of POKE' MON's warriors, I'm not surprised! For those of you who like math,
try this one: POKE' MON + Weapons That go Boom = MID EARTH + Avoid City. Well just
about everybody wants a piece of SNORLAX, who was this week's most challenged
warrior.
Being a spy is great--other people die and you spend the rest of the day
drinking to their memory. Better tanked than dead! Ask not the elves for counsel,
for they will say both yes and no. Silly buggers, eh?
Well, that wasn't too bad; Alarond told me that the people in LAPUR have no
sense of humor. Or maybe that they were senseless. Well, there goes another Spy
Report. Good luck in next week's fights. Its been fun, and I'm sure you enjoyed it
