SPY REPORT
First, I must welcome the OZCANN REJECTS to the sands. It was not the most
memorable of entries, but hopefully they are able to build around the two surviving
members of their crew and get some good recruits. Two of their initial warriors WERE
rejects and sent directly to the dark arena, but XIPIL was assassinated by the
ASSASSIN NATION warrior, ARMAGEDDON. Well done, ARMAGEDDON! I look forward to many
more like it! That was the only death outside the dark arena.
Next came as a bit of a surprise to me. The current top team ranks changed
dramatically. Not surprising was JUST DESSERTS jumping to second from inactivity.
More surprising was BASH BROS OCEAN jumping from 4th to 1st. I had to look, because
the last time they held the team on the move award was November of 2022. JUST DESSERTS
had an impressive 5-0 turn, but BASH BROS OCEAN took the two rotating team awards...
Go figure!
Only 5 challenges were recognized this turn. JUST DESSERTS was the only team
brave enough to face the wrath of another manager by DCing! LEMON BARRIO down
challenged BATROC! of WHAMMO & THUDDA 4U! Sweet!
Because of the lack of recognized challenges (maybe some good avoiding?!?), our
duelmaster, the infamous LASAGNA, had a 50/50 chance to get the matchup it wanted. A
simple flip of the coin! And when the matchups were announced, it did NOT go
LASAGNA's way! BAKERS 7 is the new duelmaster. It will not be a long reign.
(LASAGNA is still hoping to have one of those - and will have many more chances)
BAKERS 7 is fighting for immortality next turn. But with the win this turn, BAKERS 7
merely needs to survive to gain the invite to the Isle of the Eye.
Our perfect starts? CRUTCH lost. BUFF CREAM PUFF won. VENGEANCE moved to 2-0.
Young starts, all of them, and probably moving up too fast to maintain those streaks,
but they have to start at 2 and 3 wins to get to 8 or more!
USEFUL WEAPONS was avoided 5 times, easily the most of any team. WHAMMO & THUDDA
4U! avoided the most (2 times). Plenty of other avoids, but no other team had more
than 3 against them. 24 total avoids from 14 warriors.
Finally, I must note that Destitute Noble, manager of JUST DESSERTS, made some
great progress this turn on his long term goal of surpassing Smithy's USEFUL WEAPONS
in the career rankings, with an 8/10 of a percent move. Will this goal ever be
realized!?! It isn't impossible, but it is definitely a long term goal! If this
week's results were repeated over and over, it would take 9 more turns for D. Noble to
catch Smithy. And I'll go out on a limb and predict that JUST DESSERTS will NOT go 5-
0 next turn and USEFUL WEAPONS will not go 0-2 next turn.
