DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Well it took 120 losses to get our first graduate. It only took another 87 losses to
get our second. Maybe we can cut it down to say, 60 until our next invitee. We of
Hell's Heroes actually enjoy it here. Lots of devils, fallen angels and squirrels,
wreaking havoc.
I will probably be heading into retirement. I will get to go back and visit my little
Aztecs. Such a simple bloody people. They love those sacrifices to me. Too bad poor
PWCCA will not be there waiting for me. He was so close.
Anywho, to the stuff most people like to know about their Lord Protectors when they go
off to the Isle to represent Arvat. My stats 12(1)-10(3)-9-17-17-12-11 HI/VH EP, I
don't believe I even tried my favorite weapon until my last fight. Looked pretty good
with it.

SPY REPORT
Hail and well met warriors of ARVAT! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp Eyes,
Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. Fortune did not smile upon GEMSTONE BEASTS
this time out who this turn suffered a fall into 8th position in the wake of a 0-1-0
round. Warriors--remember that glory waits always around the corner! Witness how
this week APOCALYPSE went 3-2-0 to move up 4 in the rankings. THE CONTINGENCY caught
the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested THE USURPER
and was awarded 19 points in recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels,
MORTAL COIL put down A.Z. ZELL, causing him to lose 10 points of recognition in the
process. Most watched of the fights this week, the spotlight was on HAMMIR as he
bore arms against the Bloodfeud of reigning Duelmaster MICTIAN. This time victory
fell to the grasp of the usurper. All hail HAMMIR, Duelmaster of ARVAT! Would you
believe that over half of the old women in ARVAT seem to feel that they could fight
better than you gladiators?
But come now, let us look deeper into the maze of contention and crossed blades
that is city ARVAT. ARVAT, city of gladiators! Mighty among the names of thy guilds
is JAMAICAN SUPERHEROES, a guild shunned and avoided by many in the weekly duels.
Apparently the stalwarts of DEVIL ADVOCATES are catching the bulk of jests down at
the challenging board for their large share of the avoids. Loose talk at the arena
has reached my ears and it but confirms the knowledge that many fighters are after
HAMMIR. Watch your back! Give STONE TEMPLE PILOT credit for his courage. Did you
note how he challenged WRATH despite the 26 point difference in their rankings? 4
points of newly earned recognition and a dose of my admiration is what STONE TEMPLE
PILOT must now weigh against the defeat which resulted.
Vendettas. Bloodied blades and broken spears. Indeed the city has seen more
than its fair share of red in recent times. Some say a warrior is judged by the way
he bears arms. One thing is sure, better a dagger in hand then a sword on the belt!
The girls are as pretty in ARVAT as ever I remembered them....and the fighters
as ugly! Don't let your reputation slip! Ahh, but I can hear the spires of a far
