SPY REPORT
Greetings warriors! It is I, Zontani Sharp Eyes, here to bring report of the
clash and bustle of the weekly ILLIS games. Warriors--remember that glory waits
always around the corner! Witness how this week FIREBALLS went 2-0-1 to move up 4 in
the rankings. RAMOLF caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as he
skillfully bested CAVE TROLL and was awarded 16 points in recognition. In one of the
week's more notable duels, KUNG-FU MASTER put down DWARFTOSSIN' DAN, causing him to
lose 21 points of recognition in the process. Due to hers absence and inability to
defend the throne, LADY BO has lost the title of Duelmaster. This time victory fell
to the grasp of the usurper. All hail MY FAIR LADY, Duelmaster of ILLIS! Heed this!
A seer has warned that if exactly 6 die in duels this week, the whole city shall
perish! Just remember...5 or 7!
Many and various are the arts of battle. In ILLIS "art" is a word that has long
since passed from the language! ILLIS, city of gladiators! Mighty among the names
of thy guilds is SATAN'S CHILDREN, a guild shunned and avoided by many in the weekly
duels. Apparently the stalwarts of HANGOVERS are catching the bulk of jests down at
the challenging board for their large share of the avoids. Mighty fighters cannot
but expect competition from those below. THORUNDR take warning! You have more than
a few enemies in ILLIS. For some warriors honor is not important--only empty
victory. See, gladiators, how MY FAIR LADY of HANGOVERS challenged down 18 points to
WULFGAR. Few would not have guessed the outcome of the bout as WULFGAR was beat by
MY FAIR LADY. Is this what passes for courage in ILLIS? A match that raised a few
eyebrows at the games this week, it seems that FALSE IDOL posted a challenge against
the more highly recognized DJANGO. The results, you ask? Well, the firebrand FALSE
IDOL lost to DJANGO. Remember warriors, this is the discipline of steel.
What warrior does not hone his years, impatiently waiting for the moment of his
foe's mortality? DEVON must hold silent, for this week he was humbled in the arena
by a successful Bloodfeud won by MURTAGH of ISLE OF SKYE. Hail MURTAGH for thy
victory! Some say a warrior is judged by the way he bears arms. One thing is sure,
better a dagger in hand then a sword on the belt!
A thought before I go. Each warrior practices one style, but must not the wise
manager learn the secrets of them all? Sadly warriors, now longer can I keep thy
company nor savor the ale of thy fine city. Depart I must and soon! Till next we
