Citizens of Aradi! Wake up! Stay alert! And above all, DO NOT YAWN! They've been lying
to you about his so-called "global warming." Volcanoes? Dragons? Wizards experimenting
with fire magic? Over-sized chariots? Ridiculous! The truth has been staring us in the
face every arena day! It is the spectators!
Every time some poor soul throws twenty-seven feints before finally swinging, another
fan lets out a tremendous yawn. That hot breath rises into the sky, where it gathers
beneath an invisible dome maintained by tax collectors, cheese aficionados, and a
lizard collective employing migratory geese. The accumulated yawns trap the sun's heat
over Alastari. I have calculated this using seventeen pebbles, three soup spoons, and
a turnip. The math is undeniable!
Have you noticed the weather getting warmer whenever a fifteen-minute duel drags on?
Exactly! This week's greatest offender was the marathon fight between Wetwork Zero and
Man's Laughter. Fifteen minutes! by the end of it, half the arena was yawning. We lost
nearly a quarter of an inch on a glacier in Snowbound, and somewhere a wizard
complained about his ice elemental only being unable to cool his beverage!
Now then, to the battles before they permanently alter the climate. The unstoppable
Anja remains our Duelmaster after crushing The Iron Duke with ease to improve to a
spotless 12-0. If this keeps up, Far Travelers may discover lands where people believe
in "natural seasons." I pity those fools.
The Tinfoil Mafia continues to show they know the hidden truths, remaining the top
team after another productive turn. Sleeper did lose to Prince Layoun, but I suspect a
deeper operation. Sleepers rarely wake up without purpose!
Neon Royalty enjoyed a respectable turn, despite losing the title fight. I've already
mentioned Prince Layoun, but we must point out that Princess Jade announced herself by
beating up on a Trustworthy Scribe. Trustworthy? Phbbt! Never trust anyone who
announces themselves to be trustworthy. That's how they get you!
So, keep your eyes open, citizens! Cheer loudly! Clap enthusiastically! Recycle your
plastics! But if you feel a yawn coming on, bite your tongue, whistle, charge at the
nearest gladiator while growling like a lemur. Every yawn prevented is another tiny
victory for Alastari's environment in the fight against this Heat Conspiracy.

insists there is "no evidence" connecting spectator yawns to rising temperatures.
