Welcome MAZGOURRAH. I, Olaf Modeen remember this place well. Many the fights
have I fought here. The celebrations, the disappointments... What's with SELAH?
She actually beat MAZGOURRAH's THE RAGING STORM, and walked away with 16 more points
from the fight. VANIRMAYAN was reminded on the sands why JELIAH BIGABO is
Duelmaster. Advice to fighters with a 1 will--give up fighting!
If at first you don't succeed, avoid. That'll get you in the Spyreports. How
well I know the feeling of being in the most avoided team! Don't fall out of
practive, SAND DANCERS! In my day, no team with a 535-531-18 would scare me off!
What's the problem, PHILANTHROPISTS?
Warriors of MAZGOURRAH unite. You have only your games to lose! How long have
I been here? I got people to see, places to go...

Stormcrowe Slaughterhouse
Starting on Turn #192 (June 25th) a tourney will begin in Stormcrowe (DM 45), a
slow arena. This tourney will last ten turns. Each manager will stand on his own,
team against team. The points system will be as follows. It does not favor new or
old Stormcrowe managers, but does favor the ambitious and aggressive:
* 15 points for winning your upchallenge bloodfeud
* 10 points for winning your even bloodfeud
* 5 points for winning your downchallenge bloodfeud
* 10 points for winning your upchallenge; or a Dark Arena challenge
* 7 points for winning your even challenge, any opponent's challenge or a
random matchup (with an active gladiators, not a computer generated
opponent)
+5 points for being The Current Top Team
5 points for being the #1 Team On The Move
4 points for being the #2 Team On The Move
3 points for being the # 3 Team On The Move
2 points for being the #4 Team On The Move
1 point for being the #5 Team On The Move
5 points for being This Week's Favorite
5 points for being the Popularity Leader
1 point for winning your downchallenge (instead of the usual 7 points for a
win)
-5 points for being the least popular fighter
-5 points for avoiding a bloodfeud by not playing of DAing (this is PER
AVOID)
("*" This point total is awarded only for the first successful Bloodfeud. Later
Bloodfeud challenges will be treated as normal challenges, whether up or down.)
For purposes of this tourney an "upchallenge" is when you challenge up to a
category above your own: i.e. Challenger Initiates to Initiates. The Duelmaster is
exempt from this rule.
Active teams not participating are just as much targets as participating teams;
only computer generated opponents will not be counted towards points totals.
Prizes? Well, the Gladiatorial Commission said we couldn't ask for entry fees
to be paid to winner's accounts (something about Arizona law), but we can always
throw stuff into the kitty. So, Heathen has begun by buying a Free Turn for First
Place; and Red Raven has added a Roll-Up to First Place and a Free Turn for Second
Place. Any who wish to follow suit may do so, and prizes will be divided between
First through Fourth places.
HOW TO ENTER: Start or reactivate a team in Stormcrowe DM-45, and place an ad
in the DM-45 personals to Dan The Weatherman declaring your intent to join the
Slaughterhouse.
The Stormcrowe Slaughterhouse is brought to you by Red Raven, Heathen, The DOC
Alliance, and the fanatical Duelmasters of Stormcrowe.
(NOTE: Initially this tourney was going to be a "buddies tournament" with
paired managers, but many more wanted each manager to stand alone, and virtually none
were interested in pairing and so it shall be. The rules for this tourney were
designed from the suggestions of the many.)
