Notes from the arena champ.
Hello Shadowspirians! Hopefully I'm going out with one final win which would end my
storied career on a 10 fight win streak. As I say goodbye, I can hold my head high
knowing I've fought the same way I've lived. With honor... I... I can't do it... I can
no longer live a lie! The truth must come out and Pauly be damned! When I first worked
out in the training yard, Pauly was unimpressed. He said I was weak and slow. Then he
got this wild look in his eyes. But you ARE tall, he said. With a frame like that, you
could definitely pack on muscle, he said. He put me on an intense weight training
program and pumped me full of supplements. Well, I've recently found out that these
were not harmless supplements, but steroids and HGH. That's right, to my shame, I did
not fight with honor, but with PEDs! I still accept Greywand's gift of immortality, of
course. Without it, I would most likely be dead in a matter of months, because of, you
know, the massive amounts of steroids I took. The truth feels good. Goodbye

SPY REPORT
Greetings, Shadowspire! By now, you know the drill, so pull up a chair and pour
something strong while I tell you all the important stuff that happened this turn
while you were getting bashed over the head or stabbed with an epee.
We always start with the Duelmaster's title, and there is no reason to change it now.
Everyone, raise a mug for our newest Duelmater, Jane Austen of Literate Loons. She put
down her quill long enough to hand Molson a proper literary critique, winning the
throne and proving once again that the pen is mightier than the sword. Somewhere in
the crowd, a literature teacher shed a happy tear.
One of the bigger stories of the day's festivities comes to us from the graveyard.
Johan of Clan Longbeard entered the arena with a respectable 13-15-2 record. He was
left in several pieces after his fight with Byruho. It was the turn's only kill,
sending the dwarf warrior to his ancestors and giving Otis's crew a bloody highlight
in an otherwise uneven season. Drink one for Johan tonight, preferably several.
Despite the loss of Johan, Clan Longbeard remains atop the three-turn standings.
Gilmur, Kalphus, and Rudonn added victories to the roll. The Longbeards continue
marching toward another strong showing, though losing Johan certainly puts a dent in
the ale barrel.
The NBA Legends deserve a mention after Jason Kidd avenged his fallen teammate by
demolishing Paradarshin in a bloodfeud. The score is now settled, but that does not
mean it is finished. Robert Parrish picked up a hard-fought victory over our
Popularity Leader, Broos, sending the Legends up to the eighth spot of the team
standings.
Boscoe and Sky Bison fought their final bouts in Shadowspire before departing for the
Isle of the Eye. Sky Bison made sure to leave in style by crushing Boscoe before
packing their bags. Best of luck to both of them, and keep a lookout for Molson next
turn. He will be joining our Lord Protectors in the advanced games.
In the disgusting category, Toilet Paper is the most avoided team. Who avoids using
TP? You might want to stand downwind of the Dragonbane Guild. I do not know if they
feared getting wrapped up in the paperwork or if it is a hygiene issue. This is one
story I will not be pursuing. Hylda was the most challenged warrior, and Bill Russell
fought her for a crowd-boring twenty-one minutes. Honestly, I had to look up who won
that fight because I fell asleep.
I expect Turn 505 will be even more exciting than today. Why? I don't know! I'm just
trying to finish up this report. I predict somebody will chase the throne, then
someone will chase revenge, then someone will make a horrible, career-ending blunder
on the sands, and somebody will chase down this barmaid because she still hasn't
brought my drink.
