                             Notes from the arena champ.

Greetings and Salutations from the throne room of your Illustrious...

Do people actually say s**t like this? And since when would any of those people think
that I would say s**t like this? F*** that!

So no one would have called this one, but I'll take it. Now that I'm sitting on this
seat, you knuckle-draggers had best get your acts together or I'll be gone shortly.
Because I ain't making claiming this seat easy!

We will see. Maybe Namrepus gets his call before me, but as things stand currently...

Yeah, I prefer my chances.

6AM ALARM, you coming for another swing at me? Or do I get a rando?

                                          -- Duelmaster Rednow Woman

                                      SPY REPORT

Greetings, Telorinthe! It's me, Ori Starbloom, reporting from our beautiful forest
arena where the banners still flutter, the crowds still cheer, and, well, there are
only four active teams left standing. ::sigh::

I know, I know. An elf is supposed to be cheerful all the time, but even I can't help
feeling a little melancholy when I look around the arena grounds. Telorinthe has
always been a wonderful place for young warriors to learn and occasionally get hit in
the head with something educational. Seeing so many empty stables and unused practice
yards makes me long for bigger crowds. Still, the warriors who remain give us plenty
to talk about!

The biggest news of the turn is the rise of a new Duelmaster. 6 AM Alarm of Bad Signs
battled past Namrepus in a grueling twenty-five-minute title fight to claim the
throne. Anyone willing to stay awake that long deserves some sort of award, and now 6
AM Alarm has one: the Duelmaster's crown.

The team race remains tight at the top. Cixelsid Heroes continues to lead the arena
standings and posts an impressive 11-4 record over the last three turns. Their roster
remains one of the more daunting obstacles in Telorinthe, with all of their fighters
competing at the highest levels.

Meanwhile, Sorcerer Kings made the biggest move of the turn. Their warriors gained an
astounding forty recognition points, led by veteran Raam and newcomer Dregoth, who
announced his arrival by smashing Embezzling Scribe and collecting twenty recognition
points.

Over in the Riff-Raff Crew camp, Broligarch was responsible for the arena's only kill
this turn, dispatching Fratsfa Slave. Riff's crew remains firmly entrenched near the
top of the standings with a solid 10-5 effort over three turns.

Bad Signs also had a strong outing. Besides capturing the title, they saw Spittin'
Chiclets earn a victory over Buffarilla in what became the crowd's favorite fight of
the day. The fans clearly enjoyed every second of that one.

Speaking of the crowd, Rednow Woman remains Telorinthe's popularity leader despite
falling to Kung-Fu Master this turn and losing the throne. It just goes to show that
popularity can be a great mystery because the crowd still rallies behind her after a
hard-fought defeat.

It is worth noting Uyness was this turn's most challenged warrior. She got the call
from the evenly recognized Beware of Doug!, and was able to emerge victorious in a
one-minute bout. Riff-Raff Crew stands as this turn's most avoided. Bad Signs took the
crew to be another bad omen, and scurried away at every opportunity.

It is time for me to sign off, Telorinthe. I will say that we deserve more fighters
here. The arena already has a great competitive spirit, even with only four teams. It
has never been a better time to invite old friends and new foes to the arena. The
ground is level here since we are a no-tournament arena. It is a great place to test
new blood and try out that experimental strategy.

Until next turn, train hard and fight honorably. Also, bring a friend!

                                          -- Ori Starbloom
