SPY REPORT
EXTRA! EXTRA! A NEW DUELMASTER, A BLOODFEUD SETTLED, AND A GRADUATION!
Oh, goodness! Where do I even START?! I was running through the streets of Telorinthe
this morning, trying to catch up with a messenger who had the latest arena results,
when I nearly collided with a fruit cart! Apples EVERYWHERE! The merchant was furious,
the messenger kept running, and I think I accidentally bought six pears in the
confusion. BUT I GOT THE NEWS! And what news it is!
FIRST STOP: THE THRONE!
We have a NEW DUELMASTER! Well, sort of. Namtab of Cixelsid Heroes has claimed the
throne after defeating Raam in a spectacular four-minute title fight! Raam put on such
a wonderful performance that the crowd named him their favorite warrior anyway! I LOVE
when everyone has something to celebrate! Of course, the former Duelmaster, 6AM Alarm,
didn't show up to defend the title. Perhaps someone forgot to wake him? Ha! That's
actually rather funny when you think about his name!
And there's MORE! Namtab is scheduled to graduate to Advanced Duelmasters after next
turn! Congratulations! I wonder if there's time to organize a farewell party. I could
make decorations! And banners! And perhaps a cake shaped like a sword!
SECOND STOP: REVENGE!
Remember when Gulg killed Tradwife a few turns ago? Well, Buffarilla of Riff-Raff Crew
finally got some satisfaction! Buffarilla challenged Gulg to a bloodfeud and WON!
Unfortunately, the fight lasted TEN WHOLE MINUTES, and apparently the crowd wasn't
terribly impressed. Ten minutes! I could have run halfway across Telorinthe in that
time! Well, perhaps not halfway. But definitely somewhere interesting! At least the
bloodfeud is settled. That's something worth celebrating, isn't it?
THIRD STOP: THE REALLY EXCITING STUFF!
Timeline Cleanse handed Dregoth his very first defeat! Dregoth entered with a spotless
5-0 record, but one brutal minute later, that perfect record was history! Meanwhile,
Yaramuke defeated Broligarch in a lively three-minute challenge, and Uyness made quick
work of Appstinent. And look at Cixelsid Heroes! They finished 4-1, maintained their
position atop the three-turn standings at 11-4, and now have FOUR warriors among the
Challenger Champions and Duelmaster ranks! Sorcerer Kings remain close behind at 9-6,
while Riff-Raff Crew gained the most recognition this turn with 26 points.
Oh! And speaking of Cixelsid Heroes, Rednow Woman defeated the Khalhums Dwarf and has
officially graduated to Advanced Duelmasters! CONGRATULATIONS, REDNOW WOMAN! Someone
really needs to tell me where to send the flowers.
FOURTH STOP: THE GOSSIP!
I almost forgot the avoids! Bad Signs was the most avoided team, with Riff-Raff Crew
doing most of the avoiding. Apparently, nobody wanted to see those particular signs
this turn! Gulg was the most challenged warrior, which probably explains why he looked
so exhausted after his ten-minute ordeal. And poor Looksmaxxer! He defeated a
Convicted Thief so thoroughly that the fellow didn't survive. That's the only death
this turn, thankfully, and it was a Commission standby rather than one of our regular
gladiators.
FINAL STOP: ABSOLUTELY NOT THE FINAL STOP!
Because I still have questions! Will Namtab manage to hold the throne until
graduation? Can Sorcerer Kings catch Cixelsid Heroes? Will someone PLEASE explain why
the Commission keeps sending the same Virginal Gigolo into fights against experienced
warriors?! Namrepus lost to him, but Kluh defeated him! What a strange afternoon that
must have been! Anyway, I have to go! I promised to help decorate for a celebration,
and I still have six pears to figure out what to do with! Until next turn, Telorinthe!
