                                      SPY REPORT

Hail and well met warriors of TELORINTHE! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp
Eyes, Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. I could not but notice the fine
record for SANITARIUM (5-0-1) after their first round of combat. May the gods of war
favor you in TELORINTHE! CAUSTIC VEIN caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial
commission as he skillfully bested EMBEZZLING SCRIBE and was awarded 21 points in
recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels, DEAD BATTERY put down SPINE
SPLITTER, causing him to lose 9 points of recognition in the process. Although M.
CHARDINEE made a valiant effort, it did not suffice to topple the reign of victorious
LUMP. Would you believe that over half of the old women in TELORINTHE seem to feel
that they could fight better than you gladiators?
I have been in deep conclave with my spies who watched all that has recently
transpired. Indeed there is much I would report. I saw one fighter that warriors
avoided when this week's challenge seeking began. WETWORKS is feared. This much I
can say. Methinks more than a few here could name the guild it was that spent the
better part of last week avoiding WETWORKS. Indeed it was HATEWORK. Mighty fighters
cannot but expect competition from those below. TSUNAMI ALERT take warning! You
have more than a few enemies in TELORINTHE.
Vendettas. Bloodied blades and broken spears. Indeed the city has seen more
than its fair share of red in recent times. Dark alleys may hide both secrets and
assassins. In the arena there is only the brightness of steel. Keep vigil always!
A thought before I go. Each warrior practices one style, but must not the wise
manager learn the secrets of them all? More than a sharp eye must I keep, indeed a
stout pair of legs must I keep as well! The endless paths of Alastari await me!
Till next we meet remember - the pen is mightier than the sword, but a maul is a
different story!-- Zontani Sharp Eyes

ATTENTION: ALL MANAGERS WHO ARE ATTENDING THE FACE-TO-FACE

If you plan to attend the Winter Face-to-Face in Phoenix, please let Customer Service
know. We will hold your turns for the few days preceding the tourney, starting with
anything that would mail out on the previous Saturday. (This means that games due on
Thursday the 9th (which would mail on Friday) would probably mail to you, but games
due on the 10th and thereafter will be held and delivered to you at the tournament.
This way, you won't have to worry about not receiving a critical turn before you
depart for Newark, and you also don't have to worry about whether you can get a
reprint before the first turn of the tournament is due.

See you there!
