Notes from the arena champ.
Once again, I talk to you from the Throne of Mordant's gladiators. Lady Greywand has
seen fit to invite me (finally!) to the Isle and immortality. I thank Brick Wall and
Haydan for the fights that kept me here. I lost to Brick Wall the first time we
matched up, and it was never a certain thing during our fights.
I go to the Isle happy. Mordant is on the rise once more, reaching to be the
pinnacle of the dueling world once again. This city has gone from four active teams
to seven, and there should be more when this gets posted.
To the Bloodfang Clan: My manager and I know who is behind your instructions. And
though your manager's offer to let bygones be bygones didn't ring true when it was
offered, this only proves that your boss cannot let go of what has passed. The only
thing we can say is: BRING IT ON! Eventually, Gloria and Stalker will either die
(preferably) or graduate. Then, you'll have no warriors to take advantage of the
bloodfeuds that WILL happen (unless, as expected, you will run away to another
arena). You have shown that you want open season between our stables, then so shall
it be.

SPY REPORT
Much has changed in MORDANT since last I was here. Never fear, Olaf Modeen
adapts to many situations, as do all successful fighters. Welcome to MORDANT, SEA
DOGS! We need more teams who can get a 3-1-0 their first time out! What's with
MARCUS? He actually beat HOMICIDAL MANIACS' ROOKIE MANAGER, and walked away with 13
more points from the fight. Laughs were big at SEA DOGS while they watched MAKESHIFT
ANCHOR clobber T.S. POISON IVY. She lost 12 points and got bruised from objects
thrown from the stands. I'm sure MORDANT is excited about BRICK WALL, the new
Duelmaster from HOMICIDAL MANIACS. (remember?) But when you've seen as many as I
have... I suppose you want to hear some rumors and dirty gossip about your fellow
fighters? Tough!
Speaking of cowardly avoiders and unfair challenges... How well I know the
feeling of being in the most avoided team! Don't fall out of practive, HAWKLORDS!
Management must be dealin', as the boys at WIND STORM ain't reelin'! HAWKLORDS' mad!
What do people see in COUNT MOTORHEAD? His 19-24-0? HAWKLORDS ain't talkin', but
he's got 91 points.

P.P.S. It is incapable of drinking. It has no mouth. I have no idea what it uses
for the slight amount of energy required to stand still in the arena, but I do know
that it produces no visible waste, either. It is, I repeat, a WALL.

You will have seen that the Witch of the Grey Wand offers you lands. This is
quite generous of her, especially since she does not seem to have any lands. At the
very least, she has no lands in or around Mordant, and Her Majesty the Queen cannot
countenance pre-empting lands that already have owners, just to gratify a gladiator
who is leaving and will not remain to administer them in a proper, tax-paying style.
We will, however, pay for your seat on the Shuttle that takes you to the Isle of
