Hail and well met warriors of MORDANT! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp
Eyes, Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. Former top team MANNEQUIN'S BEST was
unseated this week as ROMAN EMPIRE moved up from 5th ranking to take the top spot
with a 5-0-0 record for the round. Fortune did not smile upon RUSTED ARMOR this time
out who this turn suffered a fall into 11th position in the wake of a 0-0-0 round.
Warriors--remember that glory waits always around the corner! Witness how this week
DEATH'S DOOR went 3-2-0 to move up 5 in the rankings. My praise to ROMAN EMPIRE for
their 5-0-0 week this time out. Indeed, it was a skillfully fought round deserving
of notice! BRANDY caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as she
skillfully bested GESHI SCRIVENER and was awarded 20 points in recognition. In one
of the week's more notable duels, SOULTANCHOR put down ENURAM, causing it to lose 12
points of recognition in the process. Due to his absence and inability to defend the
throne, PRODIGAL SON has lost the title of Duelmaster. The city has turned out in
honor of BLACK PLAGUE, for with his arena victory he may now lay claim to the highest
position in the city! Informants "close" to the city champion have told me that he
never fights without pantyhose on beneath his armor. Watch out!
Many and various are the arts of battle. In MORDANT "art" is a word that has
long since passed from the language! My inside sources tell me that the team to beat
in MORDANT these days is SWEORDMASTERS. At least, most blades in town are looking to
avoid them. Methinks more than a few here could name the guild it was that spent the
better part of last week avoiding SWEORDMASTERS. Indeed it was SHE'S CRAFTY. Loose
talk at the arena has reached my ears and it but confirms the knowledge that many
fighters are after GLUTIUS MAXIMUS. Watch your back! As a gladiator gets older, the
icy grip of fear lays hold of hers heart. True, BASHFUL? Who could miss your
"brave" challenge of GLUTIUS MAXIMUS? Surprising everyone, GLUTIUS MAXIMUS overcame
BASHFUL, earning 12 points of recognition in the process! A knave's just desserts
are the sweetest victory.
Vendettas. Bloodied blades and broken spears. Indeed the city has seen more
than its fair share of red in recent times. Fate is a fickle mistress. She showers
the miserable with fortune but sets enemies against the victorious. Remember this!
If it were not for my skills as a spy I would have been mugged three times
already in MORDANT. Nice atmosphere you have here! Sadly warriors, now longer can I

Mordant -- My graduation is also my retirement, so hopefully my final challenge
against Glutius Maximus goes through and I win (I opted to skip the DA to assist FMM
with nabbing the throne). Of course, if I lose, then it will make retirement all the
