Notes from the arena champ.
So the avoid/challenge trick did not work the previous turn, but this turn, it
apparently worked like a charm. Assur got the match up he desired against Van
Dermint and indeed saw Van Dermint attempt to take a trophy on his way out of town.
Lucky for Honesty, the fight was stopped before the ultimate conclusion was reached.
I sit on the throne for a third time. It is a privilege which I do not take
lightly or have any expectation to experience beyond today. I know that I have much
to learn as a gladiator and there are more worthy than I am to be here. Fortune has
been kind.
Assur tells us we are over performing and to enjoy it while it lasts. It might
continue, or it might end today. The funny thing is, the goal for which we seek is
already assured for the values for which we stand for. That is all for now. -- Joy

So why do I have this bag over my head? Because I am The Unknown Spymaster and
I'm going to give you a spy report!. We now have a new top team for all of you guys
to dogpile on. HOMICIDAL MANIACS now holds the crown and they are betting they can
keep it. Hey everybody, watch out for LITTLE BEAR, who flew up 9 points in the
rankings after mashing LIEUTENANT WOREL like a melon. Keep your eye on this guy. Ya
know, some days it doesn't pay to walk out on the sands. CKYNST OAF was overcame by
HONOR and drops 2 points. Our last turn's Duelmaster has lost, folks, lost to
TIEN-SHU OF GENRAI, and JOY has made the way for a new Duelmaster! With JOY clearing
the throne, MIGHTY MORALS II of HONOR takes a proud seat as MORDANT's new Duelmaster,
by virtue of recognition points. An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but an onion
a day keeps T.P.s at bay.

NEW TEAMS IN THE TEMPORARY TOURNAMENT ARENA (DM 85)
Please note that all new teams created at the Face-to-Face were temporarily placed in
a temporary Tournament Arena, DM 85. If you requested that your team be placed in a
specific arena, it has already transferred to that arena. Any teams not transferred

WINTER FACE-TO-FACE IN SUNNY ARIZONA!
Our next winter FTF will be held in Tempe, Arizona, January 14-16, 2011. It will be
held at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Tempe, Arizona (480-894-7444), the same hotel as
last year by popular request. Room rates are $129.00 per night, 1-2 occupancy, which
includes full cooked breakfast, complimentary manager's reception (yes, really!), free
airport shuttle, free parking and free high speed internet. There's a fitness center,
jacuzzi, and pool. The rooms are blocked--please make your reservation by December 22
before the block is released! (This is prime season for Phoenix, and people have been
unable to book rooms because they waited too long.) Look for the tournament info
sheet and minioverviews some time in December. We hope you're all looking forward to
it and that we will see you there!
