Shocking Toad, the Manager

                                      SPY REPORT

It's me, The Unknown Spymaster here with my bag to give you the news on last
week's fights. Say good-bye to THE CONFUSED, as they are pushed from the coveted top
team spot by the AESIR stable. Hey everybody, watch out for BRUENOR, who flew up 17
points in the rankings after mashing KHALHUMS DWARF like a melon. Keep your eye on
this guy. And falling like a basher in the top ten was THE GOALIE, who dropped 3
points after a disappointing (to say the least) bout with SAGA. Unlike most arenas,
LEFTISTS BLOW managed to get his challenge off against the 11-5-0 DEWEY. Well,
everybody's pal LEFTISTS BLOW moved his record to 12-2-2 by defeating DEWEY in the
Duelmaster's Title Bout and gaining 14 recognition points. Advice to bashers--never
force anything, just get a bigger halberd!
Here is other news that is of note. Here's a song for you: Who's afraid of the
big, bad GAMES LIBRARY? Big bad GAMES LIBRARY. Big bad GAMES LIBRARY. OSKSI's
afraid of the big bad GAMES LIBRARY. Tra la la la la! Okay, so I may not be funny,
but catch AESIR's act in the arena. Those acrobats seem to be fairly deft at running
from GAMES LIBRARY.
Remember that an arena is not always a safe place to be, but it is one of the
most interesting, though! Knowing when to use the right tactics at the proper time
is a very important step on the road to Duelmaster.
Well, there's the manager of the OSKSI giving me the 'cut' sign (or is that
'They're going to strangle you in the alley?). C'mon, Leadfoot, let's make some
tracks. Hasta la bye-bye. (Loud choruses of 'Beat it, ya bum!')-- The Unknown
Spymaster

Osksi -- For those interested in what made Haraldur (ST) semi-special: 21-4-11-17-
10-10-11 with Great Damage and normal endurance. He will join the large contingent
of retired warriors in Valhalla. -- Buri

Bookie the Warrior -- You think YOU'RE confused, what about ME? My head is spinning
like...like one of those things that goes around and around until it gets dizzy and
falls over. -- a confused Joker
P.S. You didn't have to SPANK me.

Twitch -- Sorry, but I didn't have time for a long fight. Things to do, charts to
finish, etc. before I leave, you know. I hope the skills were an acceptable
compensation. -- Graph
P.S. Scimitar? I don't have the DEFTNESS for a scimitar, how can I be naturally
adept with it?
P.P.S. Yes, and now that I come to look at it, why DID I graduate? I only have one
rating (and a mere expert, at that), no stat raises. Sure, I've got the fights, the
wins, and the political points, but that isn't supposed to be ENOUGH. What, as the
saying goes, gives?

A. Colmes -- You're never going to get things straight until you rise ABOVE your
confusion. My system is simple, straightforward, comprehensive, but NOT simple-
MINDED. Clear your alleged brain of that nonsense from the Library of Congress and
PAY ATTENTION. -- Dewey

Frosty -- Frankly, I resent your name. It implies a certain coolness, a crispness,
even, which is at odds with the season. To be cool and crisp NOW is... Not Hoyle
P.S. Why isn't your nose a carrot?

Bruenor -- (painfully) Are you sure we're playing the same game here? -- The Goalie

17 July 2004
I am currently trying to put together a favorites chart for AD warriors. I
desperately need help with this. What I need are style, favorite rhythm (ex.:
hi/low), favorite weapons, and tactics. What would be great is if you could send me
a copy of the invite with the warrior's name, id#, and arena blacked out. This way,
I can verify that this is an actual warrior. Minis will work, too!

For those interested, I have both a challenge style vs. style and a match-up style
vs. style chart. There's about 250 fights calculated in these charts, and I'll be
happy to send a copy to anyone who asks. You can contact me (if you're a free world
player) at: Rick Stringer, Merit/East, SCI, P.O. Box 500, Georgetown, DE 19947-0500.
If you're in prison, just send a diplo to: Baphomet, Mgr. Knights Templar (568), DM
#47--North Fork. (I also have a lot of other charts and info for anyone who wants
it.) Thanks!

30 July 2004
The total number of fights calculated was reported as 250 fights. This is a
misprint. It should have read "over 2,500 fights." -- Baphomet
