Notes from the arena champ.
I'm a Hustler baby!!!
Marma Duke sure does love his OTPs and I am living proof!! It's with great
sadness that I'm leaving you for probable retirement in the land of ADM in spite of
my bonses and favorites... but I had great fun in this crazy place and I'm thankful
to make it out of here alive!
Here's a little inside peek at my vitals:
15-13-8-17-9-9-13 Normal/Good, Very Low/Low, BA (wow... went 0/5 with it and never
looked at it again), Parry tactic (YES!), Parry favorite learn. My current skill
levels are as follows -- 16/18/21/24/17/5 +2 Ini, +4 Rip/Att, +3 Def Skill
learns/turn 2.20. (No tourney FE at all).
I may be another candidate for the no tourney arena, but that's only if good ol'
Marma Duke is feeling especially generous with my future. Only time will tell if
that will happen.

SPY REPORT
Greetings warriors! It is I, Zontani Sharp Eyes, here to bring report of the
clash and bustle of the weekly OSKSI games. CAVATELLI caught the eye of many in the
gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested ULL and was awarded 24 points in
recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels, DARK SARCASM put down STEPHEN
HAWKING, causing it to lose 14 points of recognition in the process. This time
victory fell to the grasp of the usurper. All hail VIPER, Duelmaster of OSKSI!
Informants "close" to the city champion have told me that he never fights without
pantyhose on beneath his armor. Watch out!
Many and various are the arts of battle. In OSKSI "art" is a word that has long
since passed from the language! I saw one fighter that warriors avoided when this
week's challenge seeking began. STATE OF MIND is feared. This much I can say.
Apparently the stalwarts of BRIGHT are catching the bulk of jests down at the
challenging board for their large share of the avoids. Loose talk at the arena has
reached my ears and it but confirms the knowledge that many fighters are after
SALDORINIVAN KIRO. Watch your back! As a gladiator gets older, the icy grip of fear
lays hold of his heart. True, SQUASH? Who could miss your "brave" challenge of
SALDORINIVAN KIRO? The weight of the challenge fell hard upon SALDORINIVAN KIRO and
predictably he was beat by SQUASH. This is how to arouse the anger of an entire
guild! I can not but mention with disdain the name of UBIQUITI BULLET who this week
posted a challenge to a warrior a full 9 points below in the rankings. I thought
UBIQUITI BULLET showed great skill and promise when he subdued DELISANDARA MERU. All
right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
Is not Death a warrior's foremost adviser? Warriors, may this counselor stand
ready at your right hand forever! Perhaps even the strong cannot escape the vagaries
of this world. This week arena veteran ULL was slain, despite a 6-4-0 record. Some
say a warrior is judged by the way he bears arms. One thing is sure, better a dagger
in hand then a sword on the belt!
The girls are as pretty in OSKSI as ever I remembered them....and the fighters
as ugly! Don't let your reputation slip! More than a sharp eye must I keep, indeed
a stout pair of legs must I keep as well! The endless paths of Alastari await me!

Assur -- I inherited the team, team name, and concept from a now vanished staff
member. The concept didn't hold much interest for me, but I never got around to
changing the name. As to the names of the gladiators... this team is currently
employing refugees from the Karian Sea kingdoms to the northwest of Lirith Kai, and
that's the kind of names they have. The second, shorter name is a family name; the
first name--so they tell me--"synopsizes a local heroic legend which is intended to
inspire the life of the one who bears it." I haven't gone into the nitty-gritty
details of the legends, but perhaps someday I will. When the cows come home, the
ship comes in, and so on. -- Jorja, constantly pressed for time
