                             Notes from the arena champ.

The only person available and willing to contest the title of Duelmaster of
Jhelum was a Convicted Assassin? This is pathetic.

                                        Sherman

                                      SPY REPORT

If you were disturbed from your beauty rest only to have to watch a bunch of
JHELUM brutes like you, you'd be grouchy, too. Of course, we're all terribly
impressed to see ZOLA win a fight and gain 17 points, terribly. Tsk, tsk, ZOLA beat
MASTIFF and MASTIFF lost 16 points. You're breakin' my heart. And if variety is the
spice of life, JHELUM may be getting bland, as SHERMAN stays top dog in the city.
Kickbacks and bribes, kickbacks and bribes, how else do you think some of these guys
win their fights? Skill? Ha!
Well, let's take a look at some more misdeeds of you miserable sword-boys.
What's the big D? DOGS OF WAR was the most avoided team? Bunch of lily livered...
grumble... mumble... curse... And who led the way in this mass act of cowardice?
Let's see, well, whatcha know? It was SOME BODIES. Ha ha ha ha!
Some people like volunteer work in the hospitals. I volunteer for JHELUM's
morgue. More variety. SOME BODIES has cause to pause today, as SHORT SHANK was sent
to the Dark Arena, and came back--though not in the best of moods, I'll wager.
Titanium shields and bamboo daggers, guess what brave team is developing these kinds
of weapons?
I was about to buy a new quill pen the other day, but some fighter took it for
an epee. Forgive me for writing with a dagger. Well, I've had enough of this
drivel, and I'm sure you have too. Off like a dirty shirt of padded leather. Glad
to see the back of this place-- Snide Clemens

Sherman may complain of his opponent, but I thought the Veteran Mercenary was rather
sweet. And so, ahem, glad to see me.... -- Lysistra
P.S. But then he tried to get fresh, and I explained to him why that was a very bad
idea.

The Dangerous Criminal is a pesky Redskin! And a conspirator, I'm sure he's in
league with THEM, and they're all OUT TO GET ME. -- G.A. Custer

Glory -- You can't imagine how hard it is to bite lightly. But I managed it. --
Mastiff

Patience -- That MAY be a virtue, I won't deny, but not always. Sometimes the virtue
is in not delaying. -- Pericles

Legionaries of Virtue -- It looks like it's just you-all and us. Sad, but there it
is. Of course, it makes catering the tailgate party after the fights easier. -- Dogs

An Announcement Concerning the Brotherhood of the Blade Alliance:
I have chosen to withdraw my membership from the Brotherhood of the Blade
alliance. The years I have spent in the alliance have been the best of my DM career.
I leave the alliance with many great friends and will always remain close to my
former brethren.
The Brotherhood of the Blade will not skip a beat without my membership. It
remains in very capable hands and its roster is among the strongest in the game.
With the return on some of its founding members to DM, I know the BOB will continue
to grow in strength and prestige in the years to come. -- The Sandman
