Notes from the arena champ.
Greetings to all my adoring fans! And to my not so adoring opponents.
I tried to find the exact turn that a Tank held the DM title, but the records
crumbled within my fingers, they were that old. It was sometime in the late 80s.
Sherman was the only Tank to graduate to the Isle back then, so the boss is hopeful
for me.
Of course he tells me that there might be a curse on the stable about young warriors
and rising too quickly. The first one to do this was a basher named Grant who was
savagely slain as he dueled for the title on his twelfth turn. Incidentally, knowing
this might have affected my decision to fight this week, but now it's too late.
Howard gets my challenges this turn. Sorry Diaper Rash and Hannibal, but that's how
the cookie crumbles. See you on the sands.

I was going on vacation, see? Surf, sun... But what do those bums say? "Hit
the road, Debby Tonte. JHELUM needs a spyreport." Oh, well. Too bad, THE WALL, but
TANKS FOR NOTHIN' was just too good to be stopped. MVP award for MERKAVA? TANKS FOR
NOTHIN''s proud of him after beating HANNIBAL and getting 16 points. Talk about yer
major upsets! RIPPIN's match with J.A. PINKERTON cost her a loss of 8 points! Like
DOGS OF WAR's HOWARD is sweating since he got challenged by Duelmaster LEOPARD! This
Duelmaster is like something else! LEOPARD stopped HOWARD dead in his tracks! Who
was the wiseguy that said JHELUM's Duelmaster was paying for drinks at The Warty
Toad? Don't look at me!
AAARRGH!!! I HATE SPYREPORTING!!! Sorry. I just had to say it. BABY BROTHERS
was JHELUM's most avoided team. Is there some award for that? Hhmph! What kind of
warriors are TANKS FOR NOTHIN'? BABY BROTHERS, an easy team to beat if I ever saw
one, can't get them to accept an invitation! Can THE WALL's THE JUDGE be more
popular than me? He was challenged the most, but is that really the same? People
were asking me did FREEBEARD REALLY challenge THE JUDGE? (all right, maybe they
didn't, but it sounded good!) It wasn't a spectacular fight, or anything, but THE
JUDGE wants me to write about it since he subdued FREEBEARD. Satisfied?
Man, all these warriors dying and killing each other! Don't you guys ever give
it a break? J.A. PINKERTON bloodfeuded (is that a word?) RIPPIN for revenge over
some guy's bad fortune. Was it really worth it? Fight, fight, fight. Is that all
you guys can do?
Remember, blood on a purple robe may stain. Soak it in cold water, and hand
wash. I know how much you like reading this stuff, but I really should stop. Its
